What travellers are saying
- Wobblybob7Roleystone, Australia10 contributionsFantawild Dreamland was a great theme park for me and my 6 year old who was a bit tired of natural parks and foreign food. It was a weekday and the park was empty which was great as there were no lines and we went in everything multiple times. We had never heard of the Boonie Bears before the trip to China but now they are a favourite. The attractions are comparable to Disneyland Hong Kong. All rides were in Mandarin but we did not care.Written October 25, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bladdamastaManly, Australia912 contributionsReally enjoyed my visit to the TV Tower (or as the locals call it - Shennong Tower). This might have explained why my taxi driver dropped me at the TV studio building as opposed to the TV tower/spire. 80RMB for a sightseeing ticket and all very casual. A lift takes you to the enclosed observation level, which is like a circular glass tube. There are glass floors to see the ground below. The real treat though is to be able to go up a flight of stairs to an outdoor observation deck. Thin strands of wire provide protection, but you are exposed to the elements. It is cool to hear the sounds of the city coming up from below. The views are awesome and sunset (if there is one!) is a great time to be there. Loved the view straight over the statue of Yan and along the Main Street and bridge.
There’s also some bars around the bottom of the tower and it is a cruisy vibe as people wander around.Written June 30, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I'm not versed enough to know the significance of the actual person, but I'm sure he's an important dude.
In addition to the statue, the plaza in which it is situated is a superb meeting spot and there are plenty of other shopping outlets, dining spots, and attractions nearby.Written May 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. At first it didn't seem too interesting but then we joined the tour in Chinese which started at about 3.30pm which brought the place to life. The guide took us to the most interesting aspects from the history of the town to the modern day, as well as turning on the interactive displays: a city model light show, a flying experience (over the city) and a 3D movie about Zhuzhou complete with moving chairs. It was one of the more informative and educational things to do in Zhuzhou.Written July 1, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike T34 contributionsThere's a great 10km stretch of boardwalk by the river. I did the walk early each morning around 6-7am. Nice and quiet. A few people doing tai chi, jogging, riding bikes. It is a really nice way to see the city wake upWritten October 28, 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
