Cindi Knight was born on the 2nd of May 1953 in  Jacksonville, Florida. Born and raised in Florida, Cindy is the daughter of Bobby Knight and Muriel Knight. While she did rise to fame following her marriage to Andy Griffith, she has a few acting credits to her name. He was diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome and could not walk for seven months because of paralysis from the knees down. In May of 2000, Andy underwent quadruple heart bypass surgery at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He also underwent hip surgery on September 5, 2007, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Andy was pronounced dead on July 3, 2012, at his coastal home in Manteo, Roanoke Island, in Dare County, North Carolina. Following Andy’s death, Cindi took to the media to honor his legacy.
