As soon as I wake up…

…I let the dogs out, make coffee, and wake my son up for school.

Once my son is out the door…

…I start the day by washing my face with Noble Panacea Elemental Cleansing Balm and Exfoliating Refiner, followed by the Noble Panacea Absolute Active Replenishing Moisturizer to give my skin the added hydration and nourishment it needs. I then get dressed, check my schedule and emails, and start my Zooms.

I’ve been practicing yoga for several decades now

It’s my most consistent and reliable grounding practice. I love taking Epsom-salt baths before bed, too, after a long or stressful day.

I love getting massages and facials…

…but don’t do it as often as I would like. If I’m doing a shoot, which is very rare, I use that as an excuse to book a facial. A makeup artist friend told me about an amazing aesthetician named Crystal Greene, who I’ve seen a few times now – she has such a calming way about her. She gives an incredible facial, using just her hands. Nothing harsh or invasive – just very holistic, and deeply relaxing.

I don’t stress about jet lag

I accept it as part of the package when we are fortunate enough to get to travel across time zones. I can handle a few days of disrupted sleep but tend to just get into a schedule as quickly as possible, and not think about the time difference, which helps. Hydration is key if you want to minimize jet lag, so drink lots of water while flying and on arrival. For overnight flights, I use the Noble Panacea Exceptional Chronobiology Sleep Mask to give my skin the added hydration it needs for a long flight – and to wake up feeling refreshed.

I don’t think of yoga as a workout…

…but it does keep me in shape. Yoga, the occasional Pilates, and outdoor running or hiking.

I believe in moderation…

…and I don’t deprive myself of anything I crave or enjoy. I do believe seasonal fasting can be a healthy practice, but am not consistent about anything regimented whatsoever.

As a yogi, I try to practice living in the moment

That allows me to be present in my daily life, no matter what I’m doing. It’s practical advice that makes sense, because it’s true – nothing good comes from dwelling in the past or being preoccupied by what hasn’t happened yet. Be Here Now, a book by Ram Dass, pretty much sums this idea up for me.

I’ve always enjoyed the ritual of taking off my makeup before bed…

…which is why I love the Noble Panacea Elemental Cleansing Balm and Exfoliating Refiner. When my sisters and I were teenagers, our mother always stressed how important it was to wash your face. My routine is pretty much the same in the morning and the evening – except I add in the Noble Panacea Exceptional Vitamin C Booster to my morning routine, and then use the Noble Panacea Absolute Rejuvenating Night Balm as part of my evening routine.

I’m committed to self-care…

…and think of skincare as part of that. Taking just a few minutes each day to nurture yourself goes a long way – I don’t view this approach as fighting aging, I view it as empowering.

My mother may have given me the best beauty tip: self-acceptance

It’s important to learn to love what you are born with – and to find beauty in your uniqueness. That – and lots of sleep, laughter and fun!

If I can’t sleep…

…a hot bath or a cup of tea usually do the trick – but meditation is the best practice to improve your sleep – and to quiet your mind and a restless body.
