Are Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor repairing their relationship?

The couple announced their separation in 2017 after 17 years of marriage. They remained in close communication, however, and have been occasionally spotted on family outings with their daughters — and on Sunday night, it appears Taylor was his +1 at the Emmy Awards.

In addition to walking the red carpet together, Us Weekly reports that the two were "smiling, looking happy and chatting with other couples" inside the theater.

This is Stiller and Taylor's first joint award show appearance in quite some time. He brought daughter Ella with him to the Golden Globes in January and went stag to the Emmys last year. Prior to 2018, Stiller's only brush with the Emmys was decades ago, in 1993.

The possible exes have sparked periodic reconciliation rumors in the two years since their separation. In August 2018, they sat together at the US Open, and in April of this year, they were seen holding hands as they took their kids to see a Broadway show.

While Stiller didn't take home the Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series (he was nominated for "Escape at Dannemora"), his onstage presentation alongside Bob Newhart was a highlight of the broadcast.
