In our home, scriptures on identity are of upmost importance.

Hard times will come and your kids must know who they are in the Lord.

Building confidence early in your children’s lives makes such a huge difference in their self esteem and how they view the Lord.

I prefer a few different versions of scripture to help get a feel for what it’s saying.

Normally, we love The Passion Translation and New King James.

I will be using mostly New King James for these unless otherwise noted.

How to Memorize Scriptures on Identity

In order for your kids (and you) to memorize scriptures, you need to keep them in front of you and hear them often.

Last school year we started our school day off with saying scriptures out loud.

I also wrote them up on a white board, we did one scripture a week.

You could also have older children write them down on index cards and practice with a sibling.

Many families are making a Morning Menu and they are a wonderful way to start memorizing scripture.

If you have young children, it may be helpful to make up songs using the scriptures to help them memorize.

Whatever way you choose, make sure you are speaking scriptures and discussing their identity in the Lord on a regular basis.

He is the Father and we are His Sons and Daughters.
