Thor's Chris Hemsworth mocks director Taika Waititi on Instagram

"Terrific first script meeting."

Thor star Chris Hemsworth has mocked Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi on Instagram.

Posting to the social media site on Monday (October 19), the Marvel star poked fun at his friend by sharing a picture of Waititi sleeping on some grass while bundled in a blanket following the "first script meeting" for Thor: Love and Thunder.

The caption of the post also joked that Chris had so many notes for the fourth film in the Thor series that the director had to roll himself up into a "tight cocoon" in order to "fully absorb them".

Make of that what you will.

"Terrific first script meeting for Thor: Love and Thunder with our ever fearless leader Taika Waititi," Chris captioned the photo.

"My notes were so detailed and intense that the only way for Taika to fully absorb them was to roll himself into a tight cocoon and bake in the endless possibilities of where the film will take us.

"The bloke in the background was equally riveted by my storytelling prowess," he added.

Earlier this year, Taika explained why the delay to the film in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic was actually a good thing.

Meanwhile, Chris' latest Instagram post follows on from him revealing his positive reaction to the news he has been cast in Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Mad Max: Furiosa.

"Pretty damn fired up to be a part of a franchise that meant the world to me as a kid growing up in Australia," he said previously.

"I'll do my best to continue the tradition of cinematic badassery."

Thor: Love and Thunder has a release date of February 11, 2022.
