Comedian Chris Hardwick and publishing heiress Lydia Hearst welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Dimity Facente Hearst-Hardwick.
The actress and lifestyle blogger gave birth on Saturday, announcing the happy news on Instagram.
“It feels like only yesterday we learned we were pregnant, and now she’s here,” Hearst captioned a snap of herself in the hospital, while her husband cradled their newborn.
“Becoming a parent changes you, and some of the starkest differences are also the most intimate ones – the emotional changes. Your life instantly transforms. Priorities change. You change.
“I feel so blessed and am incredibly grateful. Life has given us you, Dimity. We will love you forever.”
Meanwhile, her comedian beau had a “bit” for the day she gave birth, wearing a faux tuxedo in order to “class it up for Dimity’s first day on Earth.”
“Delivery attire but make it formal,” he captioned a photo of himself rocking a black T-shirt featuring an image of a three-piece suit.
In another post, he added, “New human alert!!! The experience of watching Lydia go through pregnancy and give birth to our sweet little peanut was humbling and inspiring. She is an absolute warrior and I am grateful, blessed, and honored!”
He continued, “The first moment seeing and hearing our child after all this time is indelibly imprinted onto my soul. Holy crap this whole process is amazing!”
Hardwick also revealed their daughter arrived more than a week early because the “baby’s development had plateaued, the placenta had hardened, her fluid reserves were low, and she was breech,” but both Hearst and her mini-me were healthy.
“Lyds is happy, Dimity is perfect and I am over the moon with love for the both of them. 👶🏻✨🥳,” he concluded the lengthy caption.
The couple, who wed in 2016, announced they were expecting in August last year.
