I have been enjoying China gate since the late 1970s and the food is always delicious and they always give you more than enough. Anyone who does not like trying to gate must have not grown up in the area.

This used to be the place to go for Chinese food but lately the food has been disappointing. I got the vegetable egg foo yung like I always do. The portions are substantial but the flavor was lacking and it didn't taste fresh. It tasted...like reheated leftovers. And the brown sauce that came with it was pretty tasteless and lumpy. That used to be the best part of egg foo yung, Not anymore. I heard there are new owners as of over a year ago. A year ago, I was happy with them so they definitely know how to make good food. But for some reason, they aren't doing it now. This is the second time in the last few months I've gotten disappointing food here. It might be time to look for another Chinese restaurant.More

Loved this place. No doubt, the best Chinese take-out in the area. I've lived in several states and this was as good as any take-out I've had. Won-ton soup was tasty; moo-shu was excellent, too. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants quick Chinese food...made with quality ingredients.More

Have eaten at China Gate for decades. In this past year it was sold to new owners. Most of food appears to be same recipes BUT the wonton soup is NOT the same. It now has MSG. I know this because I get a very...bad reaction to MSG, and for first time since tjheir re-opening, I ate the wonton soup. Never had a problem with this item til now. I tried wonton soup 2 times recently and got bad MSG reactions both times. What a disappointment!!!More

If you have shied away from China Gate for fear of the new owners, fret night. We have ordered takeout several times and have been impressed each and every time. Dishes are prepared in a very similar manner – maybe even a little better.

My mother has been a customer for over 50 years, when they closed we tried to find a replacement and just stopped ordering Chinese. I have been visiting China Gate since childhood and the food today was as amazing as I remember it. Huge portions and...a great value. The won ton soup is the best I've ever had. Delicious egg rolls, fried rice and fresh shrimp chips I can't stop eating. I fly in from Miami for this feast! You won't go wrong at China Gate!!More
