Do you primarily access the gmail account via 'web browser' or 'email client' application?

Since these would generate different types of message or error results if not connected

those may be due to settings in software; or perhaps a need to contact Google directly

about your account due to other issue may be due.

Depending on the supporting evidence, you may choose to post a screenshot into your

reply using the camera-icon, so a macOS X screenshot can upload from your desktop.

Good luck in any event...! 🙂

When you mention that you've checked settings and reset password, for what were

these changes made? ~ If you were able to login to any Google Accounts page, the

other optional feature to check into is product "Offline" whose settings are adjustable.

This matter is most different if you cannot sign into your gmail and the offline is due

to some 'user caused problem' with Google.

This link to 'Can't sign into your GoogleAccount' has options, including how to contact

them & ask they re-instate it.

From above this is copied; see blue-text link to read this in context:

Ask us to restore your account

You can request access to your account by following these steps.

Step 1: Review Google's policies

  1. Read the Google Terms of Service, the User Content and Conduct Policy, and the policies of any other product or service you use. See examples of product policies.
  2. If you believe you didn't violate any of these terms, go to Step 2.

Step 2: Submit a request

Fill out the My account is disabled form.

If we need more details or have information to share, we might follow up with you.

{A screenshot of your page, where you have the message saying the account is offline

would be helpful, in so much as that would allay most doubts as to where you are

when the status message occurs.}

Because my google mail is solely accessed by web browser, and I don't use Safari

by default, I haven't any troubles. ~ With exception: when someone reported spam

when I was attempting to share information among persons I knew, google stopped

my (only) email account {and had that person simply said "I prefer to remain in-the-

dark" about certain special Mac developments} the process to contact Google direct

to re-institute my gmail wouldn't have been needed. Also, all gmail get red-flags if they

contain compressed files or folders; such as .zip. + Some recipients mark these spam.

Not sure why your account or message about it says 'account offline' but if you have

a second gmail or other email -- you should be able to test this issue, somewhat. I

have more than one gmail account, but that won't help if you cannot get to internet.

Sorry to not have specific answer to your question.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
