As one of the largest and top-rated hotels in Atlantic City, Hard Rock is also centrally located. Once I’ve parked up, everything I need is just a stone’s throw away! As you might imagine from a luxury hotel, it offers every possible amenity: from an indoor pool, 24/7 concierge, to its signature Sleep Like a Rock bedding that made me feel extra warm and cozy, especially during the chilly winter months.
The ambiance here is distinct: the chic rock and roll vibe doesn’t come at the cost of comfort – plush chairs and Rock Spa bath products are a major plus. The North and South Towers have ocean-view suites that are flooded with light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, making morning yoga in the sunshine a great way to start your day.

As a frequent traveler, I often seek out boutique hotels right in the heart of a city. The Holiday Inn Express Atlantic City West, located downtown, easily ranks among the best hotels to stay in Atlantic City, while also offering convenient access to the Boardwalk. When I travel with my family, it’s great to know that my children can enjoy activities like kayaking and paddleboarding right on the hotel doorstep.
The beach bay gazebos – accessible for free to hotel guests – are the cornerstone of a successful beach day. The rooms are spacious and equipped with essential amenities such as coffee makers, and a tasty deluxe breakfast is included in your stay. If you’d rather skip hotel food in favor of something else, I suggest Knife and Fork Inn within easy driving distance.

Formerly known as The Water Club, you can’t miss the soaring MGM Tower at Borgata. The 43-story hotel features more than 700 guestrooms, each of which is extremely spacious, with plenty of natural light, beds with 300-thread-count linen, and soft as-silk pillows, as well as unparalleled views of the ocean and the boardwalk.

Its prime oceanfront spot is why this hotel has always been a firm favorite for me and my family. Casinos like Trump Taj Mahal are a short walk away, and there are two types of pool, indoor and outdoor, to choose from.
Golfers will love the Topgolf Swing Suite, the largest of its kind in America, with seven private bays to select from and play (it also features several interactive games like baseball, hockey, and dodgeball). You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants too, with several fine dining options as well as more casual bars and cafes on site.

If you’re looking to be in the heart of Atlantic City’s thriving nightlife scene but don’t want to splurge on paying city prices, this is the hotel for you. Located close to popular beaches including Brigantine and Margate, it checks all the boxes when it comes to delivering clean, spacious rooms at affordable prices.
Heritage Park, a gorgeous swath of greenery in the city of Absecon with paths for biking and walking as well as boating activities, is only a 15-minute walk away, while hotel visitors get free Wi-Fi and breakfast. But my personal favorite feature at this hotel has to be its gorgeous glass-enclosed atrium-style heated pool with a separate hot tub – just the place to indulge in a spot of rest and relaxation.

Located in the heart of the city but just 30 minutes away from the Atlantic City Airport, Wyndham Skyline Tower is one of the best hotels in Atlantic City if you want to stay right in the thick of all the action. With the city’s main attractions, including the Atlantic City Aquarium, Steel Pier, and the Atlantic City Art Center within walking distance, it’s guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family.
When I visit, I like to stay in one of the suites, which feature fully-equipped kitchens as well as separate living and dining areas. The 32-story building itself is impressive to look at, and the view from the higher floors is spectacular, particularly considering the fact that the hotel directly overlooks the Atlantic City Boardwalk, home to many of the city’s best restaurants and shops.

For magnificent views of the beach and the ocean, book a room at the Boardwalk Resorts Atlantic Palace, one of the top-rated hotels in Atlantic City. There’s a great spa, where you can enjoy a relaxing massage or facial, as well as a rooftop pool for catching some rays. Rooms are minimal and bright, and if I’m looking for a bit more space, I’ll book into one of the suites, which come fully equipped with kitchenettes and whirlpool baths.

A visit to Atlantic City doesn’t need to break the bank: if you’re looking to be close to the beach while still getting a great deal, then the Red Carpet Inn & Suites fits the bill. Just two miles from the city center and attractions like the Tropicana, Taj Mahal resort, and House of Blues, the hotel features spacious and clean rooms, some of which come with balconies overlooking the bustle of the boardwalk and beach below.
Décor is simple and no frills, but there are fridges and coffee makers in every room, as well as flat screen televisions and free parking on site. Managed by Hihotels, this property provides true value for money; just pack your towels and sunscreen and you’ll be ready to hit the main attractions on the boardwalk in no time.

For old-world glamor with a distinct bed-and-breakfast feel, this is the place to check into. Located just three minutes away from the casinos and boardwalk, the Chelsea Pub and Inn is Atlantic City’s most historic boutique hotel. Originally opened in 1880, you’ll find plenty of original touches here, from vintage chandeliers and carved wooden concierge desks to polished hardwood floors.
The antiques and retro artworks make it feel as if you’ve been transported to another era, while the hotel also provides access to a charming garden, an onsite restaurant and free private parking. If you’re planning to travel with your family, it’s worth noting that only children aged 12 and up are allowed, which means the ambience is peacefully quiet – the perfect spot for couples seeking some serenity and calm in the heart of Atlantic City.
