Perfect location to explore Canterbury City Centre and other attraction. 5 minutes walk to Canterbury Cathedral and 10 minutes walk to Westgate Garden. Room is neat and tidy. Staffs are nice and friendly and helpful where they can provide tips for our visit in town. Next to a shopping mall with restaurants and shops which is very handy.

This is the only hotel I will stay in when I am in the area. Excellent staff, clean and very comfortable. It is directly opposite the services so you can literally walk out of the door and into the door of the services. The rooms are very cozy and clean.

This hotel was perfect for my trip to see family in Rochester. Very clean, comfortable, and close to strood train station. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Will definitely stay again!

We stayed here for two nights, as we were down in Kent for a family do. We didn’t have any complaints, just suggestions for improvement really. The room and bathroom were absolutely fine, and the staff were all courteous and polite. To be fair the barman did make an a inappropriate comment to my female partner, but we let that go as he redeemed himself after that. We would say that it would be helpful if there was a lift to the first floor. We are still just about young enough to lift our cases up the stairs, but it was a struggle and others may not be so able. Would suggest asking for non-allergy bedding, as the pillows and duvet were feather and we have allergies. Our fault for not mentioning on booking and they were very quick to sort. Our second night sleep was lovely! Only other issue was our tv was naff; it kept saying no connection and all the channels were scrambled. Overall tho, it was a pleasant stay.

Ground floor rooms with direct car park access are available. Guests are only a 15-minute drive from historic Canterbury, Whitstable and Howletts Zoo. Spectacular Leeds Castle is 25 minutes’ drive through the countryside.

We stayed for just one night, but would have been happy to stay longer. We were given a friendly welcome and a choice of rooms. Our room was clean, with a view over the river. The bed was comfortable. The only downside is that, as the hotel information makes clear, it is near main roads in the centre of the town, so there is traffic noise, but on the 5th floor, with the window closed, it is hardly noticeable and certainly didn't spoil our night's sleep. All in all, Maidstone Travelodge provided everything we needed: I cannot see the point of paying more elsewhere. I'd certainly book this hotel again.

I booked at this hotel between 15-19 August 2022 because we were due to go to that hotel with Woods travel, before this was cancelled. Staff were very friendly at reception when we arrived. However, the restaurant didn’t live up to expectations. We booked for Dinner, bed and breakfast. We were offered the same set menu for 4 nights in a row!! Meals took over an hour to arrive, and at breakfast they had run out of Marmalade, took 15 minutes to inform us, and only appeared on our last day. Hotel definitely not 4 star standard, no hotel entertainment at night, decor in hotel was dated, chair in room had a hole in the fabric, room not cleaned properly, no shaving mirror in bathroom, and anti slip mat in bath. No information provided at Reception about how to get out and about, a stand of leaflets would have been nice. Very slow at clearing tables in bar area, general clutter especially in bar area. No table cleaning was visible in bar area and never saw communal areas being cleaned. Staff seemed very young and inexperienced. OverallI don’t recommend anyone visit this hotel, and would suggest that the star rating is downgraded as a matter of urgency.
