This is the second time I have eaten at this location with friends. Last night I ordered chicken Kiev, as I had previous ordered a rare steak on my last visit ( which went back to the kitchen ) so I didn't fancy making the...same mistake again. When it turned up , I thought " this looks nice" , as the presentation of the dish and food, looked lovely. I started on the chicken Kiev, and a third of the way through ( from the end ) i was chewing on an unfamiliar texture which I swallowed. I then cut another piece off from the chicken , and held it to the light, it looked pink. I asked my friends what they thought , and the response was " it will be all right " , so I then cut the rest of the chicken in half, and to my horror the chicken at the bottom of the Kiev was raw and uncooked. On finding this I took it back to the food ordering point, where I was told that the young lady would take it back into the kitchen. I didn't give the lady any chance to offer me any other type of food ( as she may of done ) but I asked for my money back. The lady brought me my money back , and gave an explanation of why it was raw, which was that the "chef who had not cooked it, did not check it prior to it coming out to me ". Not sure about you , but I am not a fan of being served raw chicken !! I decided to leave my friends and the pub , and get closer to home in case of any tummy troubles, and yes they started. So after a sleepless night with diarrhoea , I don't think I will make a 3rd visit to the pub, not even for a drink.More

I went to the Fish for lunch with my wife last Thursday having been recently a couple of times and been impressed with the quality of food and value for money, as well as a decent pint. On coming to the end of our meals,...which were as good as usual, my wife noticed something on my shoulder. I brushed it off and it fell into the remains of my meal. Having watched 'get me out of here' I immediately recognised it as a COCKROACH!! The young girl who served us was obviously shocked when I took my plate to her with the little critter on it wriggling on its back. She apparently took it to the manager who sent the poor girl back out to us to offer us desert or a drink. The management stayed well out of sight! We declined, and not having the time or inclination to raise the issue at the time, left in the knowledge that the pen is mightier than the sword. I sent a Facebook message to the Fish but it was managed by an agent who said they would pass my complaint to the owners. No response, and on contacting FB again, they said they could not comment. Cockroach, no comment, really? Where there is one cockroach, you can guarantee he'll have a few friends! Dissapointed in the lack of response, but we'll swerve there in future, as the many people we have mentioned it to will do 😱More

Busy lunch service where service was prompt. We ordered our food which looked very attractive on arrival. However the salad had unidentified foreign matter in it. The manager /owner we were informed was too busy to engage in dialogue to resolve the problem nor apology forth coming for the spoilt food and poor dining experience. In fact the team seemed determined to try to cover the problem of poor kitchen hygiene with a far fetched explanation that in fact appeared to be a panicked excuse. Extremely poor customer relations and a manager owner who cannot deal with complaints is not worthy of patronage.More

Visited this pub as it had good reviews, was told upon sitting down there was a 40 minute wait for food but upon going up to the bar to order I was totally blanked by the barmaid in favour of a 7 ft tall who came in after me , then the landlord announced food orders were stopping at 10 minutes to 8! totally unimpressed and we walked out !!!! .More

We visited here based on the good reviews on TripAdvisor. No disrespect to the other reviewers but the food was absolutely disgusting. I know it is cheap but it is still too expensive given the quality provided. Sunday lunch £7.95 - Dry pork, raw but...burnt yorkshire pudding, frozen roasties and veg, sour milk in mash and tasteless gravy Sausage and mash £7.25 - Same sour milk in mash, salty lumpy powdered gravy, cheap nasty sausages (not Cumberland sausages in red wine gravy as advertised) We were so hungry we decided to go to KFC later in the evening.More

It has come to my notice that some people come out for a drink and sociable chit chat and a meal. But finding on leaving some way after they leave the a stopped by the bobbies in blue.Which i find not very nice after you...have enjoyed a pleasant couple of hours. It is obvious that someone is dropping people in it which i find malicious beyond belief.IN THIS DAY AND AGEMore

Return visit while staying on nearby touring caravan site for weekend. Ordered Fish Goujons sandwich tgat came with chips, salad and homemade coleslaw. Sat outside as weather was mild and sunny. Our dog was happy to be served a bowl of ice cubes and tastes...of our lunch. Food fresh and hot - one of our favourite places xMore

As regulars of this establishment we have tonight had to walk out after waiting nearly an hour and a half for our order NOT to be delivered. They know how popular they are, and the attendant staff were doing their best, but the service just...was NOT good enough, due to there not being enough of them. It was even a trial to get a drink. This does not bode well for the Summer months, when trade will be even more brisk. Very disappointing. My rating for food and value is for previous visits.More
