We have been here many times for drinks. It's a great place for people watching, looking at the ocean , and of course, the music. Have often ordered chips and salsa on a lazy afternoon. Who can wreck that? Wanted to hear some good music...with friends and were able to score a nice table on the beach. Thank goodness our cohorts had already eaten. I would have been apologetic for the blandness of the food. Taco Bell does a better job. I had the "hard shell" tacos (as they were listed). The disguised taquitos were practically hollow. I don't know where the chicken was, but I could've played a tune with the band using them as a piccolo. I abandoned the rice and beans after one taste. The service was good, the music was great. I'll stick to drinks there and eat somewhere else beforehand.More

What a disappointment, the location is great, the food and service were not. We read the reviews before coming here and I would not agree with hardly any of them, it’s very overpriced, a coke is double what it is at the store. The food...was slow, and the service was also slow on drinks and most other things. I ordered a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and it was by far the worst I have ever had. Looked and tasted like mud. The Al coco shrimp was fine, not as good as several other places in the area. My wife got the steak, and started to feel sick after a bite or two. Would not recommend.More

Really lovely! Reasonably priced, for its location (right on the beach) with tasty, fresh-cooked foods. The child (fries to Americans) were hot and fresh, the tacos delicious. The décor was bright and lovely, the service friendly. Really enjoyed coming here on my first night in...Puerto Vallarta - set a colourful and happy tone.More

My wife and I had lunch here. We were drawn by the ambiance. The decorations on the ceiling and the ocean view were fantastic. The food was very good I had the fish and it tasted very fresh and perfectly cooked. The prices were comparable...to all the other places we ate.More

The food is ok, but nothing special. The prices are good. It is a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal while the craziness of PV and the hordes of tourists carry on outside. However, the odd panhandler or tourist junk seller still can...lean in and bug you. Nice view of the sunset.More

Wife and I visit here for drinks each trip. Decided to try breakfast. Never again! I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and 1 pancake. The portions you receive are laughable. The pancake was burned. You could have rolled it down the street. Showed it to...server and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Geducted cost of pancake from his tip!!More

I ordered an ice tea for 40 pesos. I gave the waitress 50 pesos, but she never returned my change. While I was waiting, another waiter tried to charge me again for the tea. I pointed out the change problem. After a discussion with the...cashier, he brought the change without apology. He as a bit rude at the same time. Not sure if it's incompetence or cheating, but given some of the other reviews, I'd go with cheating. Avoid at all costs.More

Awesome spot for drinks and food on the beach. Really enjoyed the guacamole & margaritas. The life music was phenomenal. Such a great vibe here plus the best view of the pier. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing find! Warning: cash only. Come with pockets filled. I tired this place because I was told that they have the best Chile rellenos and that they serve actual spicy foods such a freshly made salsa and fresh serranos. Indeed, those we amazing Chile rellenos....Also, the restaurant staff are terrific! A special shout-out to Pedro who steered me toward a delicious tequila and tortilla chicken soup that was amazing. Actually, it was all so amazing that I came back for dinner. Dinner was a perfectly and lightly done El Dorado freshly caught fish. Plus, the sunset during dinner was epic. I can’t wait to return to PV and have many more meals at Cuates & Cuetes.More

Great service and food. Perfect location, beachside near the malecon and pier. The live music is incredible. Fernando is a great waiter, hopefully you will meet him. The coconut fish is soooo good.
