    Nice in the Sunshine
I visited for the first time in February 2023. It was very cold and often raining. Nevertheless, the aquarium was an interesting place to go on the waterfront, as well as quite a few gift shops, Miner's Landing which includes restaurants and an arcade, as well as Seattle Great Wheel. When the sun shines, its a really nice place to walk.

    Great experience and location ideal
Location, location, location-this hotel is in ideal spot if you are cruising. Waterfront is at your fingertips. Pike Place and nearby attractions within easy walking distance. Jeff L concierge was delightful to talk to. Serg at the front desk greeted us with a smile. Room very fresh and modern. Lobby very clean. Waitstaff, especially Hank, was engaging to talk to and gave us great advice. 5 star experience overall.

    The Face of Seattle
Seattle is a port town and its waterfront is a symbol for the city that can be captured from many different places and perspectives. Whether the ferries, the cruise ships, commercial port or simply its skyscrapers and attractions like the Seattle Wheel, the Seattle waterfront is active. We were able to see it from many perspectives which enhanced our visit. It is truly an ever-present part of the city.

    Great area for a stroll
This is Seattle, a port city. But they have turned The Waterfront into quite a attractive destination for tourists. It’s a bit touristy with T-shirt shops, seafood restaurants, arcade games, ice cream shops and the like. The highlights include The Wheel, Wings Over Washington, the Aquarium and the Argosy Harbor Cruise Tours. They are connecting Pike Place Market to the Waterfront area with the ongoing multi million dollar project. It’s going to be amazing when they finish it.

Decent place for shops great restaurants but parking is a joke. Big sign said free parking on Sundays. We parked by the sign. 1 1/2 hours later returned to $66 fine. Told it’s private property free parking is on the street only. Seriously???? Move the sign or do a better job of identifying your “private lot”! This is an illigal fleece on out of state tourers. Other cars were getting tickets also. People out shopping and eating paying taxes are fleeced while the idiots running this cesspool of a city is allowing tent cities if homeless people and litter to trash up the area. I’ll never be back.

This market, restaurant and shopping area on the waterfront is very pleasant. You have views of the snowcapped mountains, a train that goes right by the buildings, art installations, seagulls etc! One of my favorite sections was the “local” area. Everything in that area had to be made locally. Lots of fabulous artists and mead, wine etc. You can watch cheese being made and then eat some!

An unexpected sunny, though cool day brought out the crowds. The views across the water, though a bit hazy, were picturesque, including the Great (ferris) Wheel. These views were more striking from the streets above. The piers offered a variety of shopping and eating options. Mainstays like the aquarium and cruise lines provide more sightseeing possibilities. The only challenge at this time is major road construction along Alaskan Way made access challenging.

The Seattle Waterfront runs along the rear of Pike's Peak Market. Restaurants, souvenir shops, fish markets, The Seattle Great Wheel, gondolas, and the world's first Starbucks are all within short walking distances. After sunset this boardwalk and the Great Wheel illuminate the Puget Sound coasts and Pacific Northwest skies.

Our cruise ship embarked at pier 66. There is lots to do around downtown the harbor front. Be prepared to walk around. Pike peaks market, seattle aquarium, space needle is all close by. Be prepared to spend as it gets pricey for entrance fees, parking, meals etc…

You haven't seen Seattle till you wander the piers and boardwalks downtown. Lots of unusual shops, restaurants (fancy, simple cafes, and take out places), ferris wheel, and more.

Best if you can visit when the crowds aren't at their worst, so avoid days when the cruise ships disgorge hordes.

Fun area and beautiful views of the waterfront and Puget sound. Current construction alone Alaskan which hampers walking along the sidewalks. The Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Ferris wheel along with the landing area provides good restaurants, sovereign shops and close to pikes market. Access to pikes market is across Alaskan way in the parking parkade. There are many hopeless in the parkade area and not the best at night using the elevator to get up to pikes market.

Walk along their street and piers and you see the usual tourist activities and tourists.
Possibly cruise ship business too.
A variety from Aquarium to sailing to boating to restaurants and shops line this strip.
Continue north and the busy streets transfers to a much quieter bay experience at Olympic sculpture park.
