About
Nautika Restaurant lies on the very edge of the sea at Pile, alongside the entrance to Dubrovnik's Old City. From its unique terraces, diners can enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind view of the Adriatic and the fortresses of Lovrijenac and Bokar. The restaurant's chef, Mario Bunda, leads a team whose varied offerings include lobster from the Dalmatian island of Vis and delicacies from the local waters of the Adriatic. About the cousine: The chef's role begins where that of the craftsman, Mother Nature, ends. It consists of transforming something that is beautiful, by its very essence, into something exceptional.

We had a nice dinner here but had a terrible table right by the servers gathering area. Way too busy and lot's of whining by the servers and even some ugliness as far as comments. One of our group spoke the language and shared some...of the dialogue. It is clear the servers did not always like each other. We had a crusty old senior waiter, the food was above average but small portions and overpriced-especially the cocktails. The location is in the heart of the tourist area so some of this is to be expected but they do have some absolutely beautiful view tables on the water side.More

I had planned this dinner, as a surprise for a special birthday. We were seated in the beautiful small terrace at the top of the restaurant overlooking the bay (amazing!). We had it all to ourselves for the first hour or so - the best...setting I've ever eaten in. The food was excellent, so tasty and the staff give you lots of information about what you're eating. The cocktails were also great! The staff are so professional, friendly, interactive and really make you feel you are dining in luxury! I read some reviews on here before going about the menu being expensive, but you get what you pay for - at the Michelin Star you expect to spend some money, but this is really worth it. I'm still thinking about the food! And I would 100% recommend! Table by the wall-front at sunset would be my advice! Thanks Nautika!More

Being able to sit outside in this nicely decorated restaurant and to enjoy the astonishing sea view was remarkable. You get a wonderful mediterranean experience paired with excellent quality food. We got their 7 course tasting menu - each course was beautifully presented. Lots of...fresh sea food, different kinds of award winning Dalmatian olive oils and interesting ingredients. Staff is highly professional and very amusing. Big compliments. The sommelier was very kind as well and helped me choose the perfect wine. If you don’t drive I highly recommend to try their cocktails. Each and every one is nicely arranged and looks fantastic. Highly recommend.More

Nautika has a jaw-dropping view from its terrace and that makes up for the standards of the food. It is by no means a place where food is not up to standards - I would rather state that it is not value for the money...you pay. Don't let that stop you if you want some prime snaps or enjoy company with the city, the sea and the rocks as a backdrop. I don’t usually take the time to leave a review, but this restaurant is absolutely incredible. My boyfriend and I had to come back a second time during our week in Dubrovnik despite the expensive prices (well worth it). Best service I have ever experienced...and food is amazing. My boyfriend was amazed by the foie gras and lamb and I was as well with the lobster. Not to mention one of the best views in Dubrovnik!! Thrones fans will recognize it right away. Unfortunately I took the photo when it was dark. I have gluten allergy (celiac) and the staff was so accommodating I could hardly believe it. Both times the server confidently told me they could prepare anything gluten free and was aware of the severity of the allergy. They brought out fresh baked gluten free bread, the best I have ever seen. If you are gluten free you know how bad gluten free bread usually is if it’s even offered. This bread looked so good I waited to make sure and ask before eating it because I thought it might be regular bread. Although the lobster typically comes with pasta, they were able to substitute it and it was perfect. They even baked me an extra batch of bread to take home. This was an unforgettable experience and i see why it is a Michelin restaurant. You have to go!!!!!More

Everything about this place is super special. If you want to treat yourself or have a special occasion to celebrate then this is the one. From start to finish everything was absolutely perfect. We arrived and had a fantastic view of the fort and sea,...however due to how early in the evening it was our table was overlooked by a lot of tourists which I found a little uncomfortable- especially as it was a special occasion for my husband. The staff were wonderful and moved us to a less “busy” part of the terrace…..absolutely perfect and a very romantic setting. We opted for the 7 course tasting menu which was out of this world. Couldn’t fault a single course and it was cooked and presented to a very high standard. Just what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant….if not more. I believe this restaurant is featured in the Michelin guide but not yet awarded its first Michelin star….I genuinely don’t think it will be long before they gain this recognition. Having dined at a few “starred” restaurants in London this place really does deserve that accreditation. It isn’t cheap, but you’ll know that from checking the website, however I can say wholeheartedly that it was worth every penny for the food, experience, location and service. Would definitely recommend this place for that extra special night out … especially with a loved one.More

My experience at Nautika was divine from start to finish – the entire time I felt like I was the only guest. As a solo traveler, I often get the worst table, but they gave me the center table on their famous terrace, overlooking the...bay. As I got seated, I was attended to by 3 waiters who made sure that I was comfortable. After I settled, they helped me pick a cocktail to kick off the evening (Bird in a Cage) which I LOVED. I then wanted to order a bottle of blanc de blancs, knowing I will not finish it but wanted it since it was my birthday (they didn't know) but the sommelier gently suggested that I order a particular brand by the glass instead since it tasted just like blanc de blancs - and he was right! I chose the Foie Gras appetizer which was spectacular and on par with (if not better than) the Foie Gras I had in Paris last month – the temp of the Fois Gras was perfect and the accompaniments accentuated the delicate flavor. For main, I chose veal which was delectable. And I never had to ask for anything as the waiter magically appeared when I needed something. It was a truly memorable birthday dinner - if Nautika can make a person feel this special on a special day (without knowing about my birthday) on a random weekday in August during a crazy heatwave, then they have clearly mastered the art of immaculate dining experience. Croatia is a casual place, but if you want to be treated like a royalty with the warmth that is inherent in Croatians - Nautika is your place.More

The wine list and brandy were impressive, we loved the plum brandy. The restaurant made our meal special by giving us special birthday deserts and to finish the evening the live pianist played a beautiful rendition of the Game of Thrones theme music (we are big fans) A dining experience that will be treasured for a long time and others will have a lot to live up to. I only am giving this 4 stars and not 3 because of the location, the fantastic white glove service and the level of detail and passion on the service side. On background I travel a lot and very frequently dine in one star michelin in...Europe, US and Asia. I had the 7 course menu and the execution and presentation in short description must be described as dull and unimaginative. For a 170 euro tasting menu, a baisser with ketchup is Not a satisfactory amuse bouche. The „carpaccio „ was a single slice of beef topped with chiffonade and croutons. That was very outdated and bland. The balsamic pearls didnt save it, underseasoned too. Bisque was very flavorful but not strained and could have been hotter, the caviar atop of crustacean tartar had dried up and too mustve been pre prepped as part of afternoon mice en place. The best course was the tuna with shaved fennel followed by a main course that i have had on regular banquet dinners. Do something hearty here like sous vide or slow cooked croatian/dalmation lamb or beef. Dessert was ice cold and heavily pre prepped awkwardly served with a salty waver. Its cold on the terrace. Serve something with hot cold and warm components. I feel the place could thrive under a fresher and more up to date menu and execution. Get relevant and creative. I would likely try all the other fine dining locations in Dubrovnik before i give this one a try again.More

We were recommended to this restaurant by several different locals in Dubrovnik so it was an easy choice for a celebratory last dinner before leaving for Italy. It did not disappoint! We ensured a booking the night before and so had a good idea of...prices and thought it would be worth the extra $s for the occasion, we were not dispointed. In fact a comparable restaurant in other cities of tourist acclaim would have come out a lot more expensive. From waiting for our terrace table on a balmy evening and sipping on signature gin and vodka drinks, listening to the grand piano being played, to the complimentary liqueurs at the end of the night - everything was perfect. No less than 3 waiters at any one time attended us with the fine dining experience. And they were all delightful people ensuring we had everything we needed. This made the evening an even better one. Every course was explained in detail and was mouth wateringly great! The lobster tail on soft handmade pasta was outstanding. My friends tuna was amazing apparently! The entrees were mouth tingling excursions of taste. All in all a memorable experience I can highly recommend.More
