We have been to Connors before and had a 5 star experience so we returned. My husband's filet he said was wonderful but I was very disappointed with the prime rib. It not only was surprisingly fatty but parts of the outer section were literally...impossible to chew. When the server returned, I asked him to box the remainder of the rib but not include the outer portion which I said was difficult to chew. I also pointed out how much fat there was - which was embarrassing for me because I don't like to complain and we were with another couple. He just nodded and didn't offer an apology or a substitute or a new portion. There was no credit on the bill or any effort to compensate - even a free cup of coffee would have been nice. We may come back but I will not order prime rib again.More

We have been frequent diners at Connors in Fort Myers for about 3 years since we moved into the area. While the food has never been over the top exceptional, it's always been a decent meal. What has always kept us coming back was the...exceptional service by our usual waiter Andy, and the manager Lisa. The girls at the front desk recognize us and we are always warmly greeted. Unfortunately, while the service was totally up to par, tonight's dining experience was awful. The special "Prime" NY strip was small and full of grizzle, the strawberry shortcake tasted like it was a week old pound cake. We saw a face that we had never met before and inquired if the place was under new management as we had never met him before. It turns out he was Ryan Turner, managing partner and he's been there for some time. Despite coming to this restaurant for 3 years, spending a minimum of $250 a time probably 2-3 times a month, this person never has stopped by to say hello, introduce himself or inquire about our dining experience. I guess this is why our experience was so awful, the managing partner was present. Folks, don't waste your money, this place is not the place it used to be. Or maybe they don't have to be good because it's season. Doesn't matter, there's plenty of other really good steakhouses in our area.More

Ordered 2 filets (which were expensive) one was done correctly and the second was not; both were smaller in size than we have ever had before, even though the menu showed the same size. Went there a few months before and had the same experience....Do not want to return, at least not for filets....When the bill is more than $100 for 2 people, the food should be good.More

Connors is one of 5 restaurants in a mini chain. All are highly rated and are fully deserviing of the praise. The steaks are at least as food as Ruth's Chris or Capital Grill and considerably less expense. The Seafood is also outstanding. The one...drawback is that the place is so popular that you even have to make reservations for lunch or wait 45 minutes. It is the best deal in Sarasota in our opinionMore

We have avoided going out during the Covid pandemic, but finally ventured to Connors for lunch at an outdoor table. Both my wife and I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich, served with au jus, creamy horseradish and Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese was...delicious, very creamy with a nice crunchy panko topping. The sandwich was one of the best I've tasted. Tender, thick servings of prime rib cooked to order, on a tasty toasted sub roll. The au jus sat unused, because the horseradish sauce was so nice - just the right degree of spicy flavor. Surprisingly, the serving was large enough that we filled up on the first half of our sandwiches and took the rest home for later. And it tasted almost as good later as it did at the table! At $14, this prime rib was better than most restaurants serve for twice the price. As usual, Connors' staff were excellent. Friendly, prompt service with no mistakes. We felt safe with everyone masked and plenty of outdoor seating.More

Conner's atmosphere is nice, dark wood and low lighting and really nice service. The food falls a bit short. The lobster bisque that they say is award winning is just not great, I would skip...treat yourself to the chicken and pepper soup instead. We got...the filet and lobster and the meat arrived and it was certainly not 8oz. Looked like 6oz at best and the meat lacked flavor. The crab cakes were very disappointed, in fact, we only ate one off the dinner plate that arrived with two. Just super average food even though it looks upscale. The homemade ice cream was great.More

Connors has an excellent menu, service and pleasant decor. But, what really makes it special is the Lunch Special menu. From 12-to 4Pm their Special menu is diverse, delicious and of exceptional value. I don't know anywhere else in this market where you can get...a really nice lunch for under $15 dollars.. My wife and I go to an early movie and have a late lunch around 3PM and feel like we were out to dinner. Connor is really that good!More

My wife and I ate lunch at Connors today. We were promptly seated and warmly greeted by our server Dennis. My wife’s Sea Bass Oscar was delightful and moist. I ordered the Alaskan Parmesan encrusted haddock. Unfortunately the fish was dry. When Dennis came by...to ask how everything was, I decided to skip my usual “fine” and mentioned that I found the flavors wonderful but that the fish was dry. He immediately offered to have another one prepared but I declined as we were on a tight schedule. Later he stopped by to let us know he took the Haddock off the bill. I certainly didn’t expect that nor was I seeking it. Truly a sign of a server that understands customer service and made a less than good situation into a positive experience. I made sure I tipped based on what the meal would have cost and we will certainly go back. Connor’s must encourage doing the right thing and Dennis certainly did. I would give the server a full 5 stars but overall gave Connor’s 4 stars as the fish was over cooked.More

I made my reservation a month in advance and was really looking forward to my family getting together for some good steak. 5 of us ordered steak and two of us had our steak burned and cooked so well done tgat no juice was even...remaining. I brought mine home for the dog because I could not choke it down. It made mighty expensive dog food.More

We've eaten at Connors on several occasions, it's always excellent. We ordered dinner for curbside pickup on Saturday, and it was terrific! The food was ready exactly when they said it would be, the staff outside were very friendly, and the steak and fish were...cooked perfectly. I thought the carry-out might be a step down, but it was every bit as good as when we've dined in. The portions are generous -- we've never finished a meal there. It's consistently one of the best restaurants in the region.More

We dined here on a recent weeknight, the week after the 25% limited pandemic reopening. We reserved through Open Table (important to have a reservation at this time). All patrons were safely spaced throughout the restaurant. Our server, Jonathan, was superb throughout our meal. Started...with a couple of apps (fried green tomatoes- great, voodoo shrimp- awesome). Next up: side salads (both the house and the strawberry spinach were excellent). For mains: we went with the prime filet mignon (most tender steak I’ve ever had) and the pork tenderloin (also great). From the appetizer to dessert, we truly felt like we were the only guests being served. The thoughtful Connors' anniversary card (signed by many of the staff), and surprise strawberry shortcake made it all worthwhile stepping out amidst extraordinary circumstances. During our feast, we witnessed...how each and every exit of booths were followed up with thorough cleanings, sanitizing beyond what you normally see. And the food? Not one bad bite through each course, each melded together as wonderful compliments.
