Introduced to Rome society in 1894, the architecturally iconic St. Regis Rome is located in one of the city’s most impressive palazzos. The pioneer St. Regis in Europe and a social beacon for Romans and international travelers, the hotel has emerged to define a new era of luminosity. Blending a noble heritage with fearless, elegant interiors has transformed this grand dame into a supremely luxurious and artful residence. High-ceilinged and light-filled, the guestrooms and suites are styled with luxurious Rubelli fabrics, handmade glass and collectable curios – effortlessly sophisticated and distinctively urbane. A contemporary take on a historic address, St. Regis Rome has shed its former bearing and stepped out, into the limelight to truly own Rome. Radiant and luminous, it combines fearless elegance, disruptive artistry and discerning enlightenment. Starting from January 2020, The St. Regis Rome is the permanent exhibition space for the world-renowned art gallery Galleria Continua in Rome.

This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The St. Regis Rome is celebrated for its central locale, offering a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions, although a few sites like the Spanish Steps are not as proximate. Spacious and clean rooms with a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity receive high marks from guests, though occasional wear and cleanliness hiccups are flagged. The hotel's luxurious amenities and the warm, professional service contribute to its high reputation, despite isolated instances of less attentive experiences. The atmosphere marries classical elegance with contemporary comforts, leaving some to debate the value for the price.

This is my sixth stay at the Five Star Luxury St Regis Hotel, where staying feels like a privilege, every time.

The St Regis with its great location, elegant decor, opulent furnishing's, restaurant's afternoon high tea and gorgeous bar are simply in a class that few hotels ever achieve.

A huge part of its Five Star Luxury rating is the staff, professional, gracious, warm, attentive, friendly & knowledgable of every inch within the hotel and everything happening in Rome. I doubt there is anything a guest could request that the concierge staff couldn't answer or make happen... you need it, want it, have to have it, consider it handled.

My suite was large, bathroom top to bottom marble, the finest amenities, plush towels, robes, slippers and bath products... my king size bed and luxurious bedding was a pleasure to sleep on, and my suites furnishing's elegant, comfortable and in the style one would expect from an Italian Five Star Hotel. Enough said

Now my favorite feature, The Grand Stairway and Frescoed ceiling, transports me back in time, I walk slower, taller, shoulders back felling like royalty, I know every inch of this Grand Stairway, no matter what floor I'm on, it's my first choice going up and down. [unless I've had too much to drink]

I wish everyone has the opportunity to stay at The St Regis, making fabulous memories as I've been so fortunate to.

Enjoy every adventure ahead of you and the diversity our planet offers

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the end of February.
The entire stay was exceptional from start to finish. We booked a car through the hotel to collect us from the airport and the driver nicely explained to us various elements of Rome's history and pointed out the different monuments as we made our way to the hotel. The hotel is like a palace, imposing and grand, yet also inviting. Check in was quick and smooth, we were even upgraded to a suite. We ordered room service a number of times, the pizza, pasta, and fish were all wonderful. I must politely say that the desserts were only average though.
The hotel breakfast is very expansive with great selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, pancakes, and eggs cooked to order. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and very kind.

The hotel location is fantastic, a couple minutes walk to repubblica metro station, and about 15-20 minutes walk to the Trevi fountain, the weather was good so we actually walked to all the main sights except the Vatican which is only a short metro ride away.

The butler service was very good, there were a few times I called up for complimentary tea and coffee and it was brought up. Unfortunately I don't remember the gentlemans name but on the second night I ordered 2 teas and I felt very looked after, the butler asked how my stay was, if the service was good, and anything he can do to make it better. You definitely feel like royalty and very well looked after at the St Regis Rome.

The room was opulent and well decorated and comfortable, my wife said she never wanted to leave. We even received a couple of nice gifts from the hotel before we left.

Mr De Martino runs a fabulous hotel with exceptionally well trained staff, the St Regis Rome is a jewel in the Marriott crown, I can think of nowhere better to stay when in Rome.

is hard to mention anyone in particular and would even be unfair, but the entire F&B crew was such a joy, one can feel they are happy despite these difficult moments. At all times they find the really perfect balance between being elegant, joyful and funny without keeping the respect and necessary professional distance. The training and experience they all have enjoyed makes the St. Regis in Rome an outstanding Hotel really.

The room we had was tastefully renovated without looking old fashioned, the bathroom and in particular the shower pressure caught my attention. Don’t know how often I have mentioned how much I like the shower pressure 😊. And no need to mention the quality of the matrass.

Food quality, the selection of wines all tip-top!

We will be back for sure

A VIBRANT celebration of my wife's Birthday at this magnanimous luxury hotel from Marriott's is indeed a collection of moments that will last you a lifetime !

The best bit I admired in this hotel is none other than the unit's General Manager ... so vibrant , humble soul and is so guest focussed and seen in his hotel lobby at all times to ensure all go well and with his smile that says ... you are warmly welcomed to this hotel .
I probably feel his personified body language and guest approach especially to us the Elite Titanium and Patrons of Marriott's as the finest General Manager that I have ever come across during my stays across any of the other Luxury Hotels . Feel it and a stay in this hotel is incomplete while you visit Rome .

Very well positioned in the city , feel safe and secure and timeless services from staffs across all the departments and to top it the F&B is outstanding .

A hotel dating back to 1894 that has been warmly welcoming the Rich & The Famous ... originally called as the Le Grand Hotel , a hotel that is one of Rome's GRANDE DAME Hotels !

Amazing services across all the guest related touch points and all the rooms are are beautiful and very well furbished and extremely comfortable and and every suites are designed suites.

The interior decor of this hotel is breadth taking and fabulous and is worth a sight seeing through this hotel before you check out .
Every in-dept detail in this hotel is being executed with care and dedication to ensure that your stay and visit to this hotel will be a memory .

Strongly recommend this hotel for a stay or even a occasion to celebrate as it makes you feel so special and cared and that you will want to visit this hotel once again.

We have stayed at Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Peninsula, Kempinski, Langham and Belmond properties around the world. While all these fine hotels have lovely rooms, attentive service and attention to detail, the butler service at the St Regis in Rome adds a level of luxury that we will miss as we return home. Our butler unpacked for us, repacked for us, brought us espresso at all hours and allowed us to enjoy our holiday in Rome even more as he anticipated when we needed items pressed or shoes shined.

The recent renovation has created rooms that are bright, modern but still retain the classic luxury reminiscent of an old grande dame hotel.

The concierge was very helpful organizing private tours (our guide Antonio was outstanding!), the bar staff always personable remembering our preferences and the front desk efficient and prompt. We particularly enjoyed the talented piano players who added to the ambiance each evening before we set out for dinners and nighttime exploration.

Highly recommend the property and hope to return soon.

Beautiful property with well designed rooms, but for the price you’d expect much more from the amenities and service. Other than design, there is nothing separating this hotel from a regular Marriott. Use the money you’d spend on this to book a suite at a cheaper/boutique hotel where you’ll probably get a bigger room and better service.

We booked using points for our honeymoon (which they made very clear at checkin) and they put us in a small room at the back of the property. There is one small window facing an alley, but we’re forced to keep the curtains closed otherwise the apartments across can see directly into the room. We barely have space to walk around our bed since there is no room for luggage.

But beyond that there are no details that you’d expect at a property that charges this much for a room. No idea how they get away with charging what they do per night and offering so little.

Dear J950NL, Thank you for taking the time to share your feelings. We are truly sorry that we have disappointed your expectations, especially since you were celebrating a unique moment of your life and we would have liked to contribute in making it special. The last few months have been very busy and unfortunately it is not always possible to extend a room/suite upgrade, as much as we would like. This said, we share your concern if you have not received the little touches we always dedicate to our beloved guests, starting their new life as a couple at our hotel. Please accept our apologies and, if there is anything that we can do for you at this stage, we remain at your entire disposal with great pleasure. Best wishes for a bright future ahead, filled with love and joy, Giuseppe De Martino General Manager

My entire party of 13 were very disappointed with this hotel….the rooms….evening turn down with clean towels restocked was random,.coffee bar restocked but no cups given, pillow case had lipstick stains on it and the carpet in room should just be removed.
So looked forward to breakfast in the Garden…CLOSED with no explanation .
First night we ate here the rolls given at dinner would crack your teeth…obviously from the morning..or nite before….
For what was charged we all expected much better service

Dear Babs1994, I am truly sorry for having disappointed your expectations so extensively and I will not try to find a justification. The St. Regis brand stands for flawless level of service and I deeply apologize on behalf of the entire team for your discomfort. Unfortunately there is very little that I can do at this stage, however I would greatly appreciate if you could contact me so that we can concretely recognize your discomfort. Thank you for the time that you have taken to share your experience; an immediate internal follow up is underway in order to avoid similar situations to occur in the future. This was my second visit in Rome and my second visit in a St. Regis and both did not disappoint. The reception area is beautiful with a striking art installation that I can’t stop thinking about. The room was beautifully decorated (although there is no view, our room was looking into an internal courtyard) and full of light. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Our room had a lovely couch and sitting area, which was great for the night that we ordered in room service. We enjoyed the saber ceremony and champagne toast each night and the breakfast was complete, although with less variety then other hotel groups of a similar caliber that we have visited. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St. Regis Rome and look forward to returning one day soon....

I am a few weeks late to my review, but after the experience I had at this fabulous hotel, I knew I had to make the time and share how wonderful my stay was here! I came here on a trip with my mom for my 30th birthday and from the service to the property to the location, it is absolutely top notch!!

It started with us arriving at the hotel at 8:00AM after a long travel day and they had a room ready for us to check in to immediately. Not only that, but with Bonvoy status, they upgraded our room from a Superior room to a St Regis Suite and WOW was it beautiful.

I don't want to ramble on too long, I could go on all day as to why this should be your choice of hotel in Rome, but I do want to thank everyone we encountered in our time there. I wanted to give special recognition to Giovanni & Carlotta for all that they did for us and to Giada at Lumen for the incredible service and positively radiant personality... she was such a warm welcome every morning as we sat for breakfast!

If the stunning design of the hotel doesn't pull you in let me tell you the service and attention to detail is unlike anywhere else we've stayed. I hope to return one day and get to once again experience the magic of the St Regis Rome!

I have seen non-guests come in for the famous Sunday Brunch, so I assume everyday breakfast is also open to non-guests. The everyday breakfast is to be enjoyed slowly. All the usual buffet style European cold cuts, cheeses, breads, all the ingredients to build lox and bagel, all just very high quality. Also the hot dishes, eggs, bacon and sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, etc. A chef will take your order for omelettes, French toast, eggs any way you like, eggs Benedict, etc. all done precisely to your wishes and all with a smile and gracious service. I don’t know the cost. But, I do know we paid about 60 Euro for the Sunday Brunch which is something you should do at least once in your life. I’ve directed questions to the hotel through its website and always received a prompt response.
