Happy hour oysters at the bar were fresh, adequately salty and shucked with pride and perfection by the experts behind the bar. Three of us stopped in for a dozen and ended up eating three dozen. Incredibly delicious.

Do make reservations!! Very busy popular restaurant.. while our party of eight waited for a little bit the pianist/singer entertained us with music trivia, songs about our state(alabama) and wonderful show tunes. The food was delicious and service was meticulous.. a great place to enjoy...New Orleans fun away from the French quarter on St Charles .. and you can ride the street car to get there!More

We took the Green street car venturing off the beaten path, saw this resturant on the corner and jumped off the street car/trolley. Glad we did, there was a little wait before being seated. Once seated, we could listen to live music from a guy...playing the piano which was really nice. The menu provided a variety of tasty foods. I had the pan crusted flonder with mashed potato and spinach underneath it, one friend ordered oystes and the other friend order a sandwich-brisket & ham. We all had a cup of gumbo, we could smell the flavorable aroma before the waiter placed the food in front of us. All of our meals were made to order nothing processed. Everthing was good and worth the price.More

Came here for Saturday night dinner. We have gotten Togo drinks during happy hour many times but this was our first time actually eating. As a vegan there were two dishes: a dish that olive oil is used for sauce (per waiter) or a beet...salad without cheese. I opted for beet salad and was very disappointed. For a 14 dollar salad I thought the salad would be bigger and have flavor. It was most depressing salad I ever had at a restaurant. My husbands app of oysters came when he had completed 90% of his meal and the waiter just boxed his salad “Togo”. The waiter had the check on the table prior to my husband finishing his meal. I felt like we were rushed throughout the entire meal. I will say they have great happy hour specials which we will come back for Togo happy hour drinks.More

In NOLA on a food tour to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16. It was recommended to us by our Travel agent because of the variety of food. We were seated rather, quickly partly due our reservation. The hostess was sweet and so was the front...of the house manager. The problem came when I was served food that had pork in it and I'm ALLERGIC. It was their redfish dish with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. I had already taken a few bites when I noticed it was in there. We quickly grab the waitress, to show her and she said "no, I don't think we put pork in the brussel sprouts, but I will go check. Turn out, there was pork in it, but just not listed on the menu. So, now I'm anxious and rush to restroom and try to bring it back up. Meanwhile, my daughter speaks to the back of the house manager. He apologized, and says that he will take care of our meal. He also offers to make my daughter a virgin cocktail. Because its my daughter's sweet 16, I just let her and her sister finish so that her dinner isn't totally ruined. Long story short, I get slapped with the bill, despite what I told. He says that his gesture to make the mocktails for my daughter and birthday dessert was compensation for almost killing me. It was suggested that share this ordeal with the General manager, johnm.superiorseafood@gmail.com, but after texting and sending an email...no response. ***I would not recommend this restaurant due to the unprofessional and negligent behavior of management and personnel.More

I was charged $50.00 for 2 lunch salmon entrees instead of the listed price of $20.00 each. Management refunded my credit card $9.07 which did Not include the additional taxes. BEWARE of this establishment, simple calculations are beyond their level of professionalism!!

Enjoyed dinner with a party of 16 family members on a Friday evening. Reservations were at 6:30 p.m. and our full meal experience required a little over three hours. Service was good but slow; and most of the dinner courses for those seated near me...were found to be pleasing to the palate. I personally enjoyed a blackened catfish entree and it was very tasty. Others around men tried the smoked oysters, grilled salmon, shrimp and grits, pan seared scallops, and trout amandine. All seemed pleased with their choices. The two main negatives of the evening were the noise of the dining room (it was most difficult to carry on normal conversation at the table) and the time required to dine. Despite those negatives, i would be inclined to make a return visit and recommend Superior Seafood to other diners.More

What a find!! On Oct 7, 2020 I hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner in the St Charles Room for 19, (originally scheduled for March and for 42 attendees). Not being from NOLA, I needed to work (and trust), the staff to educate me on the...establishment, update me on new rules (due to Covid), accomodate revisions, plus all the normal arrangements needed to ensure it was a sucessful and happy affair. I cannot say enough about how great the staff was to work with.... to ensure the event was sucessful, special, and stress free, for me... They were very professional and accomodiating from the attention to detail, to the servers getting everything just right the night of the event... All went as soothly as possible. The St. Charles Room looked over St Charles Street (and the streetcars), the delicious food, specility drinks and the fried oysters, all were a hit. What a place! I couldn't have been happier with this place and its staff. Awesome experience!More

We had dined here in the past and had wonderful food. This time, not so much. Service was very slow as it seems to be everywhere these days. Patio area was nice and open to the air yet covered for rain. However, waitress said special...fish of the day was trout only I was served a dry piece of grouper instead. Manager said she had the wrong day for trout. They did comp the entree which we appreciated. Redfish was good but overall not as good as last time.More

We ate here for my birthday dinner during our last visit to NOLA, and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable, and we really enjoyed sitting on the front porch-like area; it had a wonderful view of the St Charles streetcar line. I had...to walk thru the main dining room to get to the restrooms, and I noticed that the room was very very loud. I was so thankful we were not sitting in there, because I would not have enjoyed having to yell to be heard by my family. Everything we ordered was delicious, my favorite being the crawfish beignets. We also ordered crawfish and crab bisque, oysters on the half shell, Blackened fish Napoleon, Pasta de la Mer, Shrimp and Grits and Creme Brulee. They knew it was my birthday, but my husband asked them to please not come to the table singing, lol. They did bring my creme brulee to me with a sprinkler in it, but thankfully they respected our wishes and did not sing. I would have died, haha. It was a wonderful birthday meal, and we will definitely come back on our next trip!More

Be sure to make a reservation as this place is very busy, and with good reason. A quick Uber ride or right on the streetcar line Superior seafood is well worth the travel from downtown. Food and service could not have been better. Crawfish beignets...were amazing.More

I'm only giving this restaurant 3 stars because our waiter was fantastic. We went for my husbands birthday, first visit. We haven't been to a restaurant in New Orleans in years. I chose Superior because of the reviews. It was the Wed before New Years...we went early 4pm but it was Very crowded. We waited 1hr 10min for our entrees. My husband's food was luke warm. My shrimp monico sauce was not seasoned the shrimp was dry. My daughters fillet mignon was rubbery and tough. I don't know what happened this night but it was not the restaurant in the reviews. I'm sorry but we will not be back.More

We were at NOLA and had dinner at this place. Everything that we ordered was excellent, especially the oysters-we tried both the raw ones and the supreme I also had the view carre pasta and my wife had the red fish The place is very...popular and busy so you need a reservation to get in there. Understandably service was kind of slow, but everybody was polite and attentive. Highly recommend this place if you don't mind waiting for your food a little longerMore

How disappointing this place has gotten to be. We usually eat here once per month but for the last several months the service has really gone down hill. It takes over 10 minutes to even be greeted by the server. Drinks are never refilled unless...you ask multiple times. When spending over $100 for a meal (with drinks), I expect good service. We have tried several times to give them another shot because the food is very good but sadly this will be our last visit because the service is just so horrible.More
