DONT BOOK WITH TAP AIR PORTUGAL

Tap air Portugal checked my complimentary carry on and then proceeded to loose it. I had to call almost every day to get it back and every call was less helpful than the last. Two months later and I still haven't gotten any compensation from the airline for loosing my luggage. We've been conversing in an email chain that is 20 emails long just for them to offer me only 107 euros for my delayed luggage which doesn't even cover the first need expenses I made. To make matters worse they said they sent the whopping 107 euros and provided a "proof of payment" but my bank says there's no record the compensation was ever even sent. Any time you try to talk to a representative they either say I don't know or that's not my department. There is not way to speak to a manager who would know and the corporate office number is fake - it hangs up when you try to call. I have never experienced worse costumer service in my life. This billion dollar airline industry is so clearly just trying to screw people over. In other words - don't book with TAP AIR PORTUGAL.…

Insane baggage price

Was traveling back from Brazil to Europe. I was amazed that till TAP Portugal, no other companies asked more than 60eur for my 5kg bag. TAP asked 195eur for 5kg bag. Sounds insane price for me. Cannot recommend company like this with price policy like this.

The worst company ever

Quite expensive tickets, very bad flights and quality of related services. Flight canceled, obliged to overnight in Lisboa then flight to Zurich and then to Geneva the evening of the day after, of course delayed also! I received 2 vouchers of 10€ to spend into the airport for 2 dinners and 1 lunch!!! During flight, a steward let drain some coke on my jacket twice. Any refund for this. In the meantime my baggage was lost, I did complaints twice because the fist in Lisbona was made wrong by employees. Finally I received the lagguage one week after totally destroyed. I had to discuss and send hundred e-mails to receive inadequate and minimal refunds.…

Very bad experience.

I booked an early morning flight from Lisbon to London. I was at the gate 10 minutes before the official boarding was announced, and everyone else was there too. I saw a member of staff with a scale arguing with two passengers because he demanded payment for their carry on luggages even though they were not heavier or bigger than the free allowance. The rest of us passengers were stuck behind them, nervous as time was passing by, it was almost 25 minutes before scheduled take off when some people rushed to the gate, leaving him there to argue with those two. The people who checked our passports had also a scale, and the same story continued. They stopped a few passengers, the rest of us escaped. Just as we said “thank God, it's over now”, a third scale by the airplane door, and the person who wanted to check us was way too wild. I didn't have any problem with my luggage, but I was very frustrated with the whole situation, because the plane had just started boarding when it should be flying! We left with fourty minutes delay, and just as I was waiting for a coffee to calm down, I noticed a price list in front of me, which included coffee, tea and refreshments. In a few words they didn't offer us anything, if you wanted coffee or water you had to pay for it – and we are referring to a Star Alliance member. I had used Tap Air Portugal twice in the past, I flew from Athens to Lisbon twelve years ago, and I had the best of memories. It seems a lot of things have changed, that is why I am warning everyone to stay away from that airline, unless there is no other option. Even then be prapared for a nervous breakdown and certainly a delay.…

Tap Airlines is TERRIBLE

Terrible airline. They charge you for your carry on weight even if you still have check bags space. The customer service is terrible and the employees are rude. Especially in Portugal. They threatened to not allow me to board unless I paid for the carry on bag. My flight that I purchased allowed for 4 checked bags 2 carry on and 2 personal items. I was flying with my wife and we checked 3 bags and had 2 carry on roller bags and 2 back packs. They made us weigh our carry on bags and back packs together and then said our bags were over weight and charged us 115 euro per bag. Obviously I was not happy about it and the employee went to get the police to threatened to kick us out. In addition to the bag issue every flight we took was delayed. We flew from Miami to Portugal and then Portugal to Italy. Then we took the same flight back. Every flight was delayed. Warning do NOT fly tap. HORRIBLE airline. They should not be allowed to do what they did. They should be banned from the U.S. Do everything you possibly can to stay away from this airline.…

Voilà le repas qui nous a été servis. Des « gnocchis » ou plutôt de la purée avec une « sauce » qui m’a rappelé le désert tellement elle était sèche. Avec ça des craquelins, un gâteau au chocolat en sachet ( attention diabète ), et un peu de fromage frais.
