I tried to book a stay at Hakone Ginyu, but I can't find how to do it on their website. All I see is a phone number, no email address. https://www.hakoneginyu.co.jp/en/#Contact
IS that the only way to book, to call? I googled and saw a website Japanican or something like that. I can only put dates in until July. I want to go in November. Am I missing something?

142 helpful votes Many accommodations in Japan do not accept reservations more than 3-6 months in advance.
Hi there, I have just booked Hakone Ginyu. I did it through the Ryokan collection website. It took quite sometime before they came back to me, over a week, but they did offer me a reservation. I did have to fill in the form with quite a lot of detail. Hope that helps.

Well, I did figure out to go to the main website (Ryokan collection) and fill out a lot of info & make an account. My first dates were unavailable for end of November! I think that's a busy time due to the fall foliage beauty. I emailed them back & reiterated I could do another date and any room. I just received an email that I got my 2nd choice dates, but for 2 different rooms. They will move us themselves & we can experience 2 types of rooms. I'm very excited, but if you want to stay here, book a year in advance to ensure your dates & a room you prefer. Especially if you are going at a popular time. My only issue is when I went to put in my password to confirm reservation & give my cc# it would not recognize password. It was correct. So I emailed them to confirm and that I was having problems. Hopefully that will get straightened out, then I can sigh with relief. haha
