Chasing Fireflies

Shout out to Fat Brain Toys for taking care of a problem with one non-functioning firefly. We are back up to a full count of fireflies. The game functions much like an easter egg hunt except they are easier to find because of the flashing. It's works great indoors and out. A kid as young as 2 young can participate though he bends the rules a bit. I have 2 12-year-old granddaughters who have been willing to participate with their younger siblings. It does require a grown up or an older kid to supervise as someone has to hide the fireflies and direct and encourage the younger ones. There's a lot of flexibility with this game. You can alter and adjust depending on who is playing. Playing time is short. A round of chasing doesn't take very long, so multiple rounds can be played at a time. I bought the game for me. I bring it with me on visits to the grandchildren's homes. They can also play when they come to my house. That way they don't get tired of it, and it is a great way for a grown-u

Lots of fun. Easy for even a young child to play. Simple directions. Fireflies are adorable and flash brightly. Love it.

I have a 7 year old boy with ASD and nonverbal..he loves lights!! And this is a simple game where he knows that he has to find it and brings it to me with his laugh and huge smile!! He knows the beginning middle and end..so what to expect and that REALLY helps!! I highly recommend this!!!

This game is really fun, in teams or just letting a toddler run around hiding or finding them.

I gave this as a gift to my friend's 5 year old little boy. He loves it! He likes to play by his own rules... he hides all of them throughout the house... turns off all the lights and "helps" his little two year old sister find them! Adorable toy!

Colors are oth bright yet soft. The size of the toy makes it easy to enjoy

I purchased this game for my son, who is 4 and was recently diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. He adores this game. He loves searching for the blinking fireflies and putting them in the realistic jars. The fireflies are a great size and the glow stands out in a darkened room. It seems to be a "quiet" game in the sense that he's interacting, but stays super quiet so as not to 'disturb' the fireflies. I would highly recommend this interactive game for any child aged 3-6.

My grandchildren loved it! We played with it many times after first opening it, even though my older child is at the top end of the suggested age range. I've never seen anything like it. The only complaint was that one of the fireflies didn't light up at first, though it did after a while. No way to change the batteries from what I could tell.

This was a birthday gift but it was more than I could have asked for!!

We bought this for our three-year old granddaughter. Her mom just told us yesterday that she loves them. I mentioned that some reviews mentioned problems with the lights on a few of the fireflies and to let us know. There haven't been any problems so far and she said she doubted our granddaughter would care, she's been playing with them since she got them!

My kids 4 & 6 love this game. We play it all over the house and outside. So cute and fun. Easy to do at any age too.

Sturdy plastic fireflies which blink and can be hidden inside or outside to find and collect. Plastic mason jars to store them.

The concept is great and appealing to my 5yr old granddaughter. However, we experienced the same things as the other reviews of the product. I consider our batch better than many of theirs just because out of a total of 10 fireflies, 7 of them work consistently. We have changed batteries taken off compartment for circuit board and put back on with some success - got 2 working by tinkering. 3 still do not work though. My granddaughter and 8mo old grandson love to see them blink in the dark. Sad that the quality isn't more consistent and better.

Got 2 for Christmas, but only a few (from each jar) will work and light up.

Three of the ten have faulty circuits or dead batteries, so won't stay on.

The fireflies are very cute but only 2 out of the 8 lit up out of the box, which is a huge disappointment when unpacking them Christmas morning.
