Charlotte Lewis Roman Polanski!

PHOTOS! Charlotte Lewis is the new accuser in the Roman Polanski matter. Charlotte Lewis’ pics and press conference revealed that she claims alleged acts from Polanski in the 1970s.

Charlotte Lewis met with Gloria Allred and the Los Angeles District Attorney in the previous days regarding alleged conduct, said Allred during a press conference today.

Allred began her press statement by indicating that they met with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office regarding alleged conduct by Polanski against Lewis as a minor. Allred said that crimes against a minor have no time limit. Allred also discussed whether Lewis’ conduct occurred while Polanski was a fugitive from the law.

“Mr Polanski knew that I was only 16 years old when he forced himself upon me in Paris … I have lived with the affect of his conduct” said Lewis in a prepared statement.

Polanski fled the U.S. to avoid the charges. In 2008 Samantha Geimer said continual discussion of the details of her case decades later by prosecutors “causes harm to me, my husband and children”.

Roman Polanksi had sought dismissal of her charges on January 21, 2009 but the court said he needs to appear in person. Geimer says that’s a “a cruel joke”.

Polanski fled the U.S. in 1978 and hasn’t been in the country since. In 2002 he won the Oscar for The Pianist.

Greimer in 2009 told the court in a written statement she is opposed to continuation of the matter:

“If Polanski cannot stand before the court to make this request, I, as the victim, can and I, as the victim do. I have urged that this matter come to a formal legal end. I have urged that the district attorney and the court dismiss these charges.”

“… I am no longer a 13-year-old child. I have dealt with the difficulties of being a victim, have surmounted and surpassed them with one exception.

“Every time this case is brought to the attention of the Court, great focus is made of me, my family, my mother and others. That attention is not pleasant to experience and is not worth maintaining over some irrelevant legal nicety, the continuation of the case.”

Geimer long ago came public with her identity. Geimer is today 45 and married with three children.
