THE WALL OF FACES

We called you Dick in school in Berkeley. We lost track of each other after High school. You went off to the military, served in Viet Nam and never came back. I visit the Berkeley Veterans building every Memorial Day to honor you and other friends and acquaintances who lost their lives serving their country. Thank you Dick.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.

Dear HN Charles Mullan, Thank you for your service as a Hospitalman with the 9th Marines. Semper Fi. Thank you for the lives you saved. Your 74th birthday just passed, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is almost Christmas, Merry Christmas. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
