Charlie Hall, as we found out during the NCAA Tournament, has some comedy chops like his mother, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

That’s what makes this tweet from the Northwestern forward so great:

First of all, love it that it’s a screenshot of a typed message.

Second, Hall averaged exactly 1.1 minutes per game this past season, didn’t score a single point and attempted a pair of three-pointers. So it would appear he’s being extremely tongue-in-cheek about his NBA Draft prospects while announcing he’s returning to the Wildcats.

Oh, and his mom’s response is just perfect:

Hall will be heading into his junior season, so hopefully he’ll get more playing time on the team that just made its first NCAA tournament (and won a game!).
