My heart goes out to the Aitken family and friends. Charles was one of the nicest people I knew, I enjoyed listening to him play the pipe organ after we tuned it so very carefully, or going to his house in Torr. to see what new books he'd gotten in the mail that I could borrow. No matter what he was doing he was always smiling or singing. I remember the time we had to clean an organ that had 600+ pipes, Charlie complained about being too old to get into the organ to get the pipes out, but he...

To the friends and family of Charles, my wife , children, and I offer our deepest condolences. I had the privilege of being the next door neighbor of Charles and he will be missed! I particularly enjoyed watching my five year old twins interacting with Charles, usually in one of the gardens. I will miss the sound of his Subaru pulling into the driveway, always with the stereo blasting classical music. May you rest in peace.
