Marie,  Colleen shared with me that Ed passed away last weekend.  She also shared that his struggle had been very difficult, especially in the latter stages, and that you had loyally been there with him through it all.  I can only imagine how great the sense of loss must be for you, but please know that you are in my thoughts at this most difficult time.  Your contributions to Celebrate Canada will long be remembered and appreciated, so in that vein, I just wanted you to know that the Celebrate Canada team here at Canadian Heritage truly cares and is with you in thought. Marie, I was so sorry to hear of Ed's passing.  Ed was truly a wonderful, cheeerful person who I always looked forward to seeing.  He was such a willing and dependable volunteer and I was so touched last year when he came in to visit us.  He will be missed by many, but especially by you.  You were such a couple.  May your memories of those lovely years together be a comfort.

Marie:: So sorry to have received the email announcing Ed's death!  We remembered him at mass Sunday.  Thinking of all the activities we attended through our Celebrate Canada national meetings.  Know that you are certainly in our thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry to hear about Ed - when he lived here on Kimara Drive, he was a wonderful neighbour and friend. We always enjoyed catching up with him at functions like the Retired Teachers Dinner.

He was an active participant in business and social events like the crib n ski and Family Lobster weekend. A few years ago Ed was awarded a lifetime membership in AOPA, an award I know he was very proud of. We will all miss him.
