Great place for kids and adults
Teachers are fantastic I have been taking lessons with Andrea for almost 9 years. She's the best! Lena is also a great teacher. I have taken a few classes with her as wellHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael B.Highland Park, NJ07Oct 14, 2019
This place is a community treasure. I took a summer ceramics course for adults. The group was mixed, beginners to advanced. The instructor, John, is excellent; he focused attention on the beginers and helped the advanced in whatever way they needed.
In response to an earlier negative comment about the courses for children, what I saw was constant interesting production from a wide range of youngsters over a six week period. The glazing room over-flowed with their work. The only negative I heard was that one of the aides was unduly harsh with the kids and should have been let go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bettyann M.Basking Ridge, NJ01Jul 6, 2016
my daughter and another friend signed up for a ceramics class ages 12-15 this is the description: the center offers the area's only week long summer ceramics camps in a state-of-the-art studio. the students will create multiple pieces the will be fired in a kiln after the last day of camp. well is the not what I expected. both girls told me the teacher didn't really explain anything about the wheel and just let them figure it out themselves. they were always done an hour early(after they were done they sat around sketching on paper or playing clay olympics.(what kind of game is that? for a 15year old!) they came back with 2 very small pieces that probably took less than a hour to make. I told the manager about how the girls felt . well they did give me $100 back.
