I hadn't been to a race track in many years, and went to the Wall Stadium Speedway for the first time in August, 2015. I had a blast! Wall Stadium has been operating since 1950 and is the only asphalt track remaining in NJ. 1/3 mile oval that can be viewed from any seat. Guests were very easy-going, a real family atmosphere with plenty of kids enjoying the action. I saw six different types of cars race in one evening, among them: Legends, Modifieds, Stock Cars, and 4 Cylinders. There is virtually no break in the action... once one race finishes and the winner acknowledged, the cars that are participating in the next race are brought onto the track.

This is the type of attraction that really needs more support. If you love traditional New Jersey entertainment such as vintage amusement parks, boardwalks, drive-ins, I guarantee that you will be thrilled by a night out at the Wall Stadium Speedway. NJ has a long tradition of small track auto racing, and after losing a few other tracks, this is the only asphalt oval remaining. We have to support businesses like this, or we are doomed to lose them. Why read an article in the newspaper about an attraction that is gone due to declining support, wishing that you had tried it... here is your opportunity! For the price of a movie, you can see some really exciting auto racing action! I can't wait to go back... I enjoyed it immensely.

If you love the sounds and smells of auto racing on an asphalt oval, this is the place to be. The price is reasonable enough to be a regular stop with many classes and much racing action. As tracks slowly disappear and become shopping malls, this is a venue to support and hang on to. A mainstay of New Jersey racing that has developed over the years and keeps getting better.

Wall stadium (1/3 mile high banked asphalt) has been racing on Saturday nights since 1950 and currently runs many divisions (Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, Legends Cars, Limited Late Models, 4 Cylinders and, on occasion, 3/4 Miidgets & Dirt Modifieds...check their website for what will be running on any given Saturday). Admission (2015) is usually $18. for adults and parking is free (outside of special events). OK to bring your own coolers (no glass) but wide variety of food is available at concession stands.
The Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club also has their (again, free) museum on site for all fans attending to see and learn about the history of racing in New Jersey.
Wall Stadium is also the home track to noted NASCAR champion crew chief Ray Evernham and current Sprint Cup driver Martin Truex Jr.
USAC star Wally Dallenbach also competed for many years at Wall, so there is real history surrounding this storied track.
Fun way to spend a summer Saturday night at the Jersey Shore if you're looking for something other than a seaside bar.

Wall Stadium is a staple of the New Jersey Shore. Racing started in April 1950 on this 1/3 mile oval track. Racing occurs every Saturday night from April through September, however, there are additional special events which occur past September including the infamous Turkey Derby in November. The grandstands usually open at 5pm, qualifying starts around 6pm and features begin at 7pm.

There are many types of cars which race here including Modifieds, Sportsman, Factory Stock, 4-Cylinder, Limited Late Model, Legends, Powder Puff, and TQ Midgets. Check their schedule online to see what divisions will be racing on the night you plan on attending.

This is a great way to spend a summer evening at the Jersey Shore. The racing is exciting – lots of close racing and mishaps! Given that is only a 1/3 mile track, you can see the action on the entire track.

Tips – Bring the following:

1. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Bring ear protection!!! Either have ear plugs or earmuffs. The races are extremely loud. Without ear protection, you may cause permanent damage to your hearing.
2. Something soft to sit on – a cushion, or blanket. The bench seats are hard.
3. Sunglasses & hat – needed until the sun goes down.
4. Sweater or jacket. It cools off when the sun goes down.
5. Small Cooler (no glass). You are permitted to bring in food & beverages (including alcohol), however, there are concession stands the serve burgers, cheesesteaks, funnel cakes and ice cream and more.
6. Binoculars. After an accident, you may want to zoom in on the site.
7. Cost: Varies depending on event. Adults are usually no more than $18. Discounts for seniors and children. Parking is free.

This is a great way to spend a summer evening at the Jersey Shore with your family (all ages). The racing is exciting – lots of close racing and mishaps! Since it is only a 1/3 mile track, you can see the action on the entire track. I have been going to Wall Stadium for many years and am never disappointed.

We went to Wall Speedway for our 6th wedding anniversary Saturday the 14th (which ours was on Friday the 13th actual day). What a Great Clear night for a Harvest Moon. My husband's been going to the races here since before Martin Truex Jr was racing here. The staff was very nice & professional even we were ask to get off flagstan at end of night. THANK You Wall Speedway for a Great Anniversary. We had a Blast! Chrisie & George Hutchins

I just completed this and everything was perfect. I always have that nervous anticipation doing things like this and everyone there was so relaxed and kept the environment stress free. They made it easy to have fun and rip around the track. I did 25 laps and suggest the more laps the better because you really get a feel for the car that way. The Owner and the crew were awesome. Also, the pace driver really knew how to tow you into the turns and kept his pace just above yours as you progressed so you could get some fast laps in. Will definitely be back.

We went to the Turkey Derby Race and had a blast. There are not many affordable family activities where everyone is so excited to be there.

A fun place for everyone who loves to watch local drivers whether they are learning the ropes or competing for wins. A good way to spend a weekend afternoon/evening with family, friends, etc. However, they have recently changed concession companies and my advice now is either bring your own food or buy your eats at the Sabrett stand at the far end of the stands. Service from the new concessions is lousy, food tastes terrible and we heard too many people complaining about it. Still, you gotta enjoy the racing!

Came here for the Green Flag Experience off a Groupon. While the Speedway is dated, it is still a great experience given that there are not many speedways left in the area and especially no other experiences like this.

While it is like driving an oversized Go-Cart, there are no speed governor's and you are in control. These TQ Midget Cars can go up to 120 mph. However, for us average drivers, you can get up to speeds of 60-70 mph. You get 5 laps around the 1/3 mile track, with laps averaging 15-30 seconds. For $30 more, you can get 5 more laps.

The whole experience lasts 1-2 hours from check in to completion. They provide you with Cotton Socks, a Fire Resistant suit and shoes and Helmet. All you need is your License and CASH if you plan on purchasing a Photo, GoPro video, or additional laps. Otherwise, leave everything else in the car because there are no lock boxes available.

No experience is needed. They give you a personal presentation about driving the vehicle and then bring you to the vehicle to learn everything you need to know about it. After this, you are ready to go! Everyone goes separately, however, you will follow an experienced driver in a "pace" car, but this will not limit the experience.

Without a Groupon, I do not know if I would pay full price to do this experience. They do offer a Two for One special as well for $220 that includes 10 laps instead of 5, so that may be worth it.

It is also worth noting that they only run this Experience during the summer time at 9am and 1030am.

Wall has been in operation since 1950. The racing has always been great. Admission is reasonable at $18 for adults. Parking is always free for the races. The drifting event is not run by track management and Formula Drift sets parking rules. I have a great time every time I go. If you're in town visiting or vacationing down the shore be sure to visit. It's a great family atmosphere.
