A cathedral is always known as the spiritual home of its diocese. The title of our Cathedral of the Risen Christ exemplifies the resurrection of Jesus in its art and Furnishings, and in the cathedral the Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle is the focus of silent, perpetual adoration.
To all person who are Catholic, and to friends who are not, a most cordial welcome is given to visit and pray in this cathedral.
BISHOP JAMES D. CONLEY
Adoration is when Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, is placed in the monstrance, so that we may spend time with him. At Cathedral, we are blessed to have a Perpetual Adoration chapel, which means Jesus is there 24/7 waiting to spend time with us.
In celebration of the 63rd anniversary of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ's Perpetual Adoration program, we put together this video of Cathedral parishioners sharing their experiences of spending time in adoration and the ways it has impacted their lives.
You're invited to stop into the adoration chapel any time of the day. If you're interested in signing up for a weekly holy hour or if you'd like to be added to the list of subs, contact the Cathedral of the Risen Christ parish office: 402-488-0948 or crc@crchrist-parish.org.
