Jack and Rose Schlossberg — two of Caroline Kennedy’s three children — were snapped beating the heat this weekend together on Kennedy estate, Red Gate Farm, in Martha’s Vineyard.
Actress Rose, 33, wore a multi-colored 2-piece swimsuit while younger brother Jack, 28, wore a sweatshirt and shorts during their time outdoors, as the siblings went boating, swimming and fishing while on the family property.
The estate originally belonging to Jackie Kennedy has been described as a “340-acre sanctuary with more than a mile of Atlantic Ocean beachfront at the edge of Squibnocket Pond on the undeveloped southwestern tip of Martha’s Vineyard.”
Just short of one year ago, the Aquinnah property was sold to a pair of nonprofits, with The Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission and the Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation agreeing to pay $27 million for the historic hideaway, The Providence Journal reported at the time.
The plan is to turn the former private residence into conservation land open to the public, Land Bank Executive Director James Lengyel and Sheriff’s Meadow Executive Director Adam Moore said at the time.
“The 304-acre Aquinnah property, among the largest and most spectacular undeveloped parcels on the island, will be known as the Squibnocket Pond Reservation,” the statement said. “Upon completion of a standard biological species inventory and final management plan, the majestic dunes, windswept beach, kettlehole pond, wooded trails and open meadows will be open to the public.”
Fortunately for Rose, Jack and other family members, the Kennedys have retained 95 acres at the property, including their homes.
