Joel Scott-Hill s'avère une recrue musicale de choix tant au chant, à la guitare que comme compositeur ("Hill's stomp"). C'est malheureusement son goût immodéré pour la bouteille qui l'empêchera de faire carrière au sein de Canned Heat...
De plus, agréable surprise, on retrouve sur "I don't care what you tell me" la flûte traversière qui avait fait le succès de "Going up the country"... et même Little Richard au piano sur "Rockin'with the king"! En conclusion un disque très bien conçu qui semble témoigner d' un très fort instinct de conservation du groupe à la suite de la mort tragique d' Al Wilson.
