5+ stars for the Candy Cane Inn! We stayed here during a visit to a special Disney event. Everything went so well for the entire visit. The front desk staff warmly greeted us and got us checked in right away. The location is super walkable if you're wondering if its a good place to stay during a stay at Disneyland.
When we got back to the room, we noticed the bed was super comfortable, and the room was very, very clean. When we forgot a toothbrush, we were able to get supplies in the lobby.
But the real star of the show was the front desk gentleman who helped us get my jacket back. When I got home, I realized that my jacket was left hanging in the closet. I called in, and the item was logged into the lost and found. For just the cost of mailing, the hotel mailed the jacket back to me so I didn't have to drive down to Anaheim.
There is nothing more nice then to notice when people go above and beyond for you by choice. Thank you Candy Cane Inn for making this a nice stay and also really showing us that you care about guests! - Autumn W.El Mirage, United States1255230Oct 15, 2023
We booked our too short stay at the Candy Cane Inn back in May and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. It's a really cute hotel, super clean, comfortable beds and excellent amenities. You cannot beat the location, free onsite parking , free breakfast and the free trolley transportation. Our kids loved it and it made it so easy to enjoy the parks and downtown disney!
We loved our stay here and we are looking forward to our next stay! - Crystal D.Spring Valley, United States13581Sep 9, 2023
The rooms are newly renovated and are nice and comfortable. The decor is a great upgrade from our last stay in 2019. Nice mounted tv, ceiling air conditioner with control panel on the wall, and bright lighting. The staff is nice and friendly and the location is a short walk to Disneyland. If you walk slow, it's about 10 minutes and on the same side of the Harbor Blvd Disneyland entrance. The Candy Cane does have a shuttle, so it's up to you if you want to walk or ride.
Parking is free and they will let you park early if a parking spot is open. You can park your car, do a pre-check in, get a parking pass and come back to pick up room keys later. Although we didn't eat the complimentary breakfast, the front desk says breakfast is available even when you do a pre-check in prior to the room being ready.
The cons to this place are NO microwave in standard rooms and NO elevator. Microwaves are usually a standard amenity, but not here. Microwaves are only available in their premium rooms. If you have mobility issues or lots of luggage, request a room on the first floor. It's about 15 or 16 steps to the second floor. It's not bad, but could cause issues for some guests.
After your stay, they send a voucher for $10 off your next stay which has to be redeemed in 1 year for U.S. guests or 2 years for International guests.

This review is for the remodeled Candy Cane Inn. I started staying here back in 1998. 25 years ago? Wow! I will say the place felt a bit dated back then. But, the convenience of the location has always been enough to enjoy what it was to stay here. Now after the lengthy remodel, it is absolutely delightful to stay here. Everything has been updated! It still has the new room smell! From the rooms to the courtyard behind the front desk, it's just fantastic! We stayed on Christmas and it really felt quite cozy. After all these years, it's definitely a top notch place to stay for your Disneyland vacation!
Jul 23, 2019Previous reviewI have stayed here so many times in the past 21 years that I have lost track! The Candy Cane Inn has never let me down either. I mean my kids grew up staying here practically every time we went to Disneyland. The few times we didn't stay there was due to late planning on my part. It's always so convenient that it is located right down the street from Disneyland. It's right on Harbor Blvd so it's easy to find. It's part of the special feeling we get every time when we get off interstate 5 and head south on Harbor. It's kind of got the feeling of a second home. I have always been happy with our accommodations there. The rooms are always nice and clean. The staff is always super friendly and very helpful. They can answer any questions you may have too. The only thing that can be an issue is parking. Over the years as Disneyland has gotten more crowded, the parking lot at the Motel seems to have gotten more crowded too. So try checking in around 3. That way you can easily find a parking spot. They have an amazing continental breakfast too. Nothing like the good ol' cereal bar to bring a smile to your face. They have way more than that though. Lots of good, healthy choices. It's a very short walk to the park from there too. That is a huge plus. But, they still have their own shuttle to take you back and forth. That's always nice to have after a long day a the park.

A friend of mine and I stayed here in a double Queen room couple weekends ago and I have nothing but positive things to say about our entire stay! If you're looking for hospitable accommodations, clean rooms, 1 car parking included, 24hr security onsite, full on breakfast buffet every morning, swimming pool, hot tub, separate kiddie pool, workout gym, free shuttle to Disney, all of these things included with your room rate - friendly and welcoming staff, and a simple itinerary with less fees and easy to understand charges than most hotels, then this is your home away from home. I will absolutely return to stay here on my next trip!!

Best hotel!
This is my 3rd time staying here, i will never stay at another hotel when visiting Disney! From the pricing, the staff, the amenities and the newly renovated rooms. You cannot go wrong! They even have complimentary breakfast in the morning, that consists of make your own waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and the best part is it is poolside! they even have a laundry room, in case you need to wash clothes!
Candy Cane, you have a forever customer! - Wendy S.Inland Empire, United States934331Jan 2, 2023
I cannot say enough good things about this Inn! First of all, the customer service was great. We got there super early, around 6:30am and we were allowed to complete the pre-check in. Second, they let us leave our bags early even though our room was not ready. We did not have to pay for parking nor did we have to pay for the free shuttle that takes you directly to the park. It leaves the Inn every hour and picks up from Disneyland every quarter past the hour (ex. 2:15, 3:15, 4:15, etc.).
It was so close to Disneyland, however, that we walked back to the Inn to rest and eat during our visit at the park. And there are souvenir stores, and general stores nearby so you can walk anywhere you need to!
The room was very clean, fully stocked, and they even provided a small necessity set that included cotton balls, cotton swabs, an emery board, and a tiny sewing kit!
And the continental breakfast was great! Delicious ham and cheese croissant sandwiches, bagels, hard boiled eggs, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, this went beyond your typical continental breakfast! Fresh fruit!
When we checked out the following day, we were allowed to leave our vehicle there until the end of our day at Disneyland. For FREE. Who does that?? This Inn does!
Our only regret was not taking bathing suits! We could see the steam from the heated pool and really wished we had known about it!). It never occurred to us to plan for using the pool in this freezing weather!
This place is a GEM!!! Book your stay now. No need to think about it. Going to Disneyland? This is your home away from home!
