I just feel like if you pay more for an upgraded room you should be located at a more desired area of the complex. Instead, we were put RIGHT next to the cleaning/maintenance staff supply room. They not only walk by here constantly (starting from 6:45AM) they also like to hang out and talk around here. Literally in front of our door.

Granted we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room the 3 days/two nights we were here because we were enjoying our family at Disneyland. If we had spent more time at the hotel & if our 11 month old wasn't already awake when they woke everyone else up at 6:45 one morning, I would have for sure asked to move rooms.

I really wanted to like this place because of the convenience to Disneyland.

This is the cutest, friendliest lil spot near Disneyland. The rooms are clean and there is a large basket of goodies awaiting your arrival. The grounds are so lush and full of plants and flowers. I wish I would have taken more pic like if the room and pool but believe me they were just as nice. The staff were so sweet and full of smiles. I especially loved the cucumber water they offer in the lobby. The complimentary breakfast was substantial for sure with bagels, cereals, variety of juices, fresh coffee, hot cereals, eggs, etc. There is a full sized pool, cute jacuzzi in a gazebo and a little kiddy pool. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes and drops you off at the front entrance. How convenient is that? This is a great family place. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back again.
UPDATE.....our most recent trip on 1/31 and this is what they left for my daughter's birthday; a birthday card, stuffed Mickey and a bag of cookies. Just for telling them the reason for our visit. How adorable are they? See pic below.

Spent time here for our Disney Trip (sept 2014). Some pros and cons
      1) block and half from Disney (walking distance) 15min walk
      2) free shuttle from and there (30min wait both way)
      3) pool hours are till 11pm
      4) a mini mart and 7-11 is just around the corner!
      5) free breakfast (only donuts, bagels, toast, fruits and cereal.
      6) Rooms are bit small (but it's only a place to crash, majority of time is spent at the parks anyways)

Been coming here for over 4 years with a friend when we go to Disneyland. The room was right next to the ice machine and I made reservations for a deluxe room over 5 months ago. It was dark and noisy. The ice machine is also next to the stairs. The room was damp and the air conditioning system was more like a horrible swamp cooler. There are no bed spreads on the beds just two sheets with a blanket in between and no extra blankets for the room. Had to ask twice for extra blankets. The pillows were the worst of all. they don't have a normal size standard, queen or king pillow. They provide you with 7 small 8x8 pillows that are hard and not sleeping pillows. I will never go back there. They need to upgrade the place.

Now onto the reason I even gave it two stars. The staff are really nice. From the front desk, to maintenance to guest services in the morning breakfast area. Oh I forgot the TV picture was so bad it looked like a black and white TV . It was awful. Sorry Candy Cane you take a look at upgrading the place. I will go to one of the Disney Hotels next time.

I stayed at this hotel with some friends while we went to Disneyland for a few days. It is a cute little inn and they give you shuttle rides to the park even though it is not to far away. They do have a pool there and we stayed in the hot tub most of the time it had some foam in it but we didn't think much about it then another guest had told us that it foams up like that when the water is dirty. We wanted to go in the second day but when we went to go check if it had been cleaned the bubbles were still there meaning it was still dirty. They did give complementary breakfast but there was not a lot of options to choose from. But upon check-in they asked if I had a AAA card and took about 20 off over all which was nice

I love this place. My family travels from Texas once a year to go to Disneyland and we always stay here if we can. The rooms are wonderfully clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is really nice. They have the friendliest shuttle drivers in the area. It's also within walking distance of the main gate if you prefer to skip the shuttle. They offer a really great continental breakfast, plus refrigerators in the room to help cut down on food costs. I've tried staying other places in the area, but I always come back here.

The best place to stay when visiting Disneyland or anywhere else in that area.
The rooms are COMFY. The 'continental' breakfast is more than your typical continental. Includes cold / hot cereal, toast, muffins, bagels, donuts, crescents. Fresh fruit. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt. Juices and coffee and tea. AND, ham/cheese crescents. All included. You can enjoy breakfast by the pool.

They have their own private shuttle to/from Disneyland. It's also a very short walk. Parking is included.

The staff is always friendly and the rooms and grounds always clean.

I felt compelled to write a review after staying here for the first time. I have only ever stayed at the Disneyland Resort. In the interest of saving some money I did a lot of research and came upon the Candycane Inn. Let me tell you, these positive reviews are absolutely correct! This hotel is unbeatable!! The grounds are impeccably kept, the room was extremely clean and tidy, and the staff was so friendly. They offer a free shuttle to the park, a complimentary breakfast, and free parking... Like I said, unbeatable! This is our new go to hotel! Looking forward to our next stay!

Just came back from a 7 night stay at the Candy Cane Inn. This is our third time staying at this property, and it has never disappointed.
The average cost of a standard room is around $120.00-$130.00 U.S. per night. That gives you two queen beds, a small area for getting ready, and a small fridge. Of course it also has the obvious, a small but useable bathroom and a flat screen television with a small safe underneath to store a few valuables.

You also get a free continental breakfast, which includes the following.
Coffee, hot water, orange and apple juice, banana's, apples and oranges, bagels, toast, yogurt, milk, oatmeal, danishes, donuts, hard boiled eggs, cheese(cubes), and assorted cereals that are located outdoors by the pool in a cart.

The property itself is well maintained, and the staff are very friendly.

They also have a premium room available, where they deliver your breakfast to your room each morning. This costs a little more, and may be worth it as the breakfast area can get quite busy. They're are only a handful of tables inside, otherwise you can sit outdoors by the pool. (It may be cool), depending on what time of year you go.

Also in conclusion to my review, if their was anything negative I could say about the Candy Cane is that the parking spots are a little tight. On one of the nights I couldn't even find a spot, and parked at the front entrance of the property opposite the shuttle.

Oh yes, they have a shuttle which leaves approx. every 30 min. Also quite friendly.

Oh yeah in the breakfast room is this sort of strange older dude with tons of Disney pins that cleans tables. Nice enough guy, just a little weird IMO. He's got these talking dolls that he walks around with and presses the buttons to make them talk as he walks by your table.

Oh yes, they also have a small work-out area at the front of the property which they don't really mention upon check-in

We just love the Candy Cane Inn!!

We came here a number of years ago for the first time and immediately fell in love with it. Beautiful grounds, super clean rooms, and amazing staff! Since our first visit, nothing has changed. Grounds are still immaculate, rooms are great, and the staff are consistently amazing!

Now you will likely find rooms in the area at a slightly cheaper rate but you get some bonuses with staying here:

      1. Breakfast - consisted if cereal, muffins, breads, yogurt, etc.

      2. Disney shuttle that leaves every 30mins

      3. Close enough to walk if you miss the bus ;-)

Most recently we stayed here for 5 days and yes, the same breakfast gets a bit tiresome but it's nice it's included. It does save some money.

If your thinking about staying here, don't worry! It will exceed all your expectations and more. We will be back next time we're in the area - for sure!
