My husband and I will be coming to Germany in June for the first time. I'm trying to come up with an itinerary and need to choose between stopping in Ulm to tour the Minster and Fishermen’s and Tanners’ Quarter after touring Hohenzollern and Lichtenstein Castles or skipping Ulm and arriving in Rothenburg early enough to tour the Medieval Crime and Punishment Museum before it closes at 6 pm. Both sound interesting. Which would you choose? We'll spend the night in Rothenburg regardless. Are shops open after 6 pm? If my husband is 6' 4" tall, is he too tall to walk the town walls without hunching over? How else should we spend the evening? My daughter and her husband tried to go on the Night Watchman's tour and ended up leaving after a few minutes because the crowd was so large they couldn't hear anything. Thanks for your advice.
