one of the best tours we have ever taken not only the food but the history of the chinese in canada was the frodting on the cake. The tradiotional tee service was a fitting end to the tour. highly recommend!!!!!

    A must do in Vancouver
From the text the day before providing clear instructions, to the final destination for lunch, Bob has thought of everything to make this a rich, enjoyable experience. My 20 year old son and I loved every minute. Bob was knowledgeable, entertaining and simply a lovely individual that had us hanging on his every word. The well planned stops at various locations while sharing his vast knowledge meant the four hours flew by. We talked, laughed, ate and explored China town, learning so much about the past. As someone who has pain issues, I was a bit worried but it was the perfect pace of walking, resting and fun throughout. And I think it's clear that Bob is like the King of Kensington (for those of you not too young to know that reference). I would highly recommend this cultural and culinary exploration to all adults. I'm so glad we did it.

Fantastic tour full of food, culture and history
We had a wonderful experience. Kenson was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable about food, history and the neighborhood. We happened to have our tour on both a Chinese festival day and a Canadian holiday so there were a few things closed but Kenson immediately pivoted and came up with another excellent option for any issues. We learned so much about Chinese Canadian history and culture and enjoyed a variety of delicious food. My husband and I are both tea drinkers and especially enjoyed the tea tasting. It was really informative and the teas were fantastic! We will definitely be ordering from Treasure Green Tea in the future and are so glad Kenson put them on our radar. After booking this I saw a review saying this tour just steals samples and the shop keepers hate them. I genuinely think the reviewer must be confused about what tour he was supposed to be on or has some ulterior motive. This is NOT the case at all. There were no store samples. The shop keepers clearly knew Kenson and were perfectly comfortable with him. He was respectful of their space and made sure he kept the group from impeding shoppers. I briefly reconsidered because our booking of that review and I’m so glad I didn’t cancel. Don’t let the nonsense sway you. This is a great tour guided by a charming host. You’ll learn a lot and eat even more.

    Terrific Chinatown Tour
This was an excellent cultural and food tour of Chinatown. Bob’s communication was terrific and timely. It was simple to find the meeting point. The gardens, the story telling center the museum “ teaser”, the tea shop, the pastry and barbecue stops, the stop at a store with fascinating herbs and such with the grand finale of a dim sum lunch. You learn a ton about the Chinese of Vancouver and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this tour!!

    Everything Chinatown
A lot of cultural and historical information plus great food. It started at the lovely Sun Yat Sen Garden and went on to two museums, a barbecue place, a bakery, a Chinese medicine store, an ancestor worship supplies store, a tea shop, some significant buildings, and finally a sumptuous dim sum late lunch. About 4 hours all told. Lots of standing, so cushiony shoes are important. Bring water. Bob Sung is very knowledgeable!

    Food Fun and History
We did the Wok around Chinatown and it was so much fun. It was a combination of history, fun facts and food. Bob was very knowledgeable about the history of Chinese migration to Canada. We got to eat lots of authentic Chinese food and learned about the history of each dish. Everyone on our tour had fun.

My mom and I really enjoyed our tour! There was a variety of sweet and savoury treats and lots of interesting facts along the way. We ended up going back into the market after the tour and bought the pickles, almond vinegar, chocolates, and even a broom! Things we would have never picked out/found without the tour. I would highly recommend this experience and we hope to do the Chinatown Tour next time we visit Vancouver!

My friends and I are foodies, so we had to book at least one food tour while in Vancouver. We chose Granville Island Public Market, and it wasn’t a disappointment. Rohan our guide was knowledgeable and personable. He took us to several great vendors and all the food was delicious. We enjoyed walking around and learning about what the market had to offer. I think our favorite stop was the tea vendor. One of the best chai teas I’ve had.

My dad and I visited Vancouver while on vacation and scheduled this tour as a way to see Granville Island and grab a bite to eat. It was an awesome experience and our tour guide was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and in general a great guy to spend an afternoon with. He even helped us plan out our other meals while we were in town by making some amazing recommendations. You can't go wrong with this food tour. The location, food tasting, and guide are all worth it.
