As a level 20 without flying, for the Southern Edge I went to the flight path and down the ruins, to the right to get him. Very handy

Questline starts in Dalaran (Legion) at Breanni.

Pets Detective - use Find-A-Spy in the marked areas, follow the cat and talk to Suspicious Onlooker, Precocious Onlooker and Farsighted Onlooker
Pet Up - fly to non-instanced Eye of Azshara in the south of Dalaran. Go to the marked area and use Lovely Pet Bandage at the NPCs
The Coast is Clear - click Speedy IV near you: 1) Spin 'N Stun, 2) Dart, 3) Heal. Find 10 pet supplies. I could collect the supplies without Speedy once a crocolisk revealed me
Paw Patrol - kill pirates to get Violetsail Pet Cage Key for the cages
Gurgl and the Bandit - defeat Trainer Iris Greedsway in a pet battle
Her pets are Missing1, Hornswoggle and Gurgl. I beat her with 3 Zandalari raptors
Click Gurgl behind her.
Return to Breanni in Dalaran and get Gurgl (Gurgl).

Questline took about 20 minutes.

Fast and easy if you're lvl 60 with decent gear. The trick with "the Coast is Clear" is to try to stun the humans and avoid the gators. You can stun either, but if the gators touch you AT ALL you will be reset, where the humans will just hit you a bit.

For the "Paw Patrol" step, druids once again get to "cheat" by staying in flight form unlocking cages if you have enough keys but don't want to fight more -- pretty common with interactable items.

The final battle, as the OP said, works pretty easily with 3 Zandarlari Raptors. I used 3 Anklerederers as they were handy. Black Claw and Hunting party with the occasional Leap is all you need. Nothing special about the fight.

Doing this on a level 30 that just got flying. Most of the enemies scaled with me, but the crocks are skull level. Didn't realize I could heal the mobs myself without having to use the bandages until the third one.

You no longer need to be level 60 to loot the pet supplies and you can open the cages while on a flying mount no matter what class you are, so Druids no longer have an edge here.

using three Zandalaris with Black Claw / Hunting Party worked easy enough. Just make sure to loot Gurgi from behind Iris Greedsway when the fight ends.

Being as you can travel and quest here at level 10, this might prove challenging. A bit of a ride and a bit of a swim..

I finished the fight in the final quest Gurgl and the Bandit within around 1 minute using 2x Anomalus (any breed) and the following tactic:

Priority 1 Poison Protocol when more than one pet is up & Poison Protocol has fallen off
Priority 2 Void Nova on CD
Priority 3 Corrosion all else
