It has been a fairly interesting experience attending the high schools within the CUHSD district. Although I began online, I felt that the protocols and swift reaction to switching from in-person to online was well handled. However, campus safety is my biggest concern. With many violent incidents and continuous false fire alarms constantly being pulled, the students safety concerns me the most. Please work on making the campus a safer place.
The Campbell Union High School District fosters a welcoming environment to all students, staff members, families, and visitors. At my school, Leigh High School, I've been able to attend the numerous events thrown, such as dances, sporting events, and noontime activities. Every student and staff member I've encountered has been very welcoming and friendly. The environment that is created within the district encourages students to not only learn, but to have fun while learning. One change I would like to see would be more representation of diversity.
As a senior in the district, I feel like I have seen a lot of the good and bad within the schools. I think the worst parts of my experience have been the multiple fights that I have witnessed throughout my years. However, this last year of mine I feel like I haven't heard of as much fights going on even though there have been fights.
