From 2007 to now, I have been to Chimelong Paradise about 15 times. Overall quite satisfied, but Chimelong really lacks new facilities. The reason for coming to Chimelong now is to bring friends who have never come, or just for Halloween events. I'm bored with the facilities inside, only one roller coaster has been added over the past dozen years. As for other projects, they are just like watching movies, not interested at all.

Some Quick Tips:
1. You can get to Chimelong water park through the entrance door inside the paradise :)
2. First go to amusement park right at 9:30AM which you can play top ones in only 3 hours
3. Buy Combo ticket for both parks for a good discount ...
4. Use subway to get there, you only walk 100meter after that ...
5. Don't bring any meals or extra bags

Mondays there is special offer for couples RMB 338. Before going plan ahead ,it will be useful once you get there. There is a lot to do and watch and the soft ice-cream is yummy.A lot of people had suggested you should take your own food in their reviews, first of all its not allowed and second by any standards paying 6 RMB for water is not the end of the world. Have been to many amusement parks and price of eatables is pretty much same or more. So dont worry too much about the price of food and just plan about what you would like to see and do.
Following you might be useful :-
1) Get down at Exit E of Hanxi Changlong (Double check the exit)
2) The South Gate of the park with the Ticket Counter next to it is about 5 minutes by walk.Pick up the English Map before entering park, you can ask the staff .
3) The Top 3 rides are a) Dive Coaster , b) Giant Frisbee(near Dive Coaster) and c) 10 Inversion Roller Coaster.
4) I found the rides ques getting pretty short after 5.30pm and most of them will be open till 7pm. After that pretty much everything closes down. I guess mid of the week is the best time to visit.
5) Try the Soft Ice-cream.
6) Look-up the show timings which mostly last for 30 minutes and
are conducted 2 times a day.
Iam uploading the Shows Schedule picture and the English Map, have a great trip.

Chimelong Paradise offered scary and thrilling roller coaster rides that kept me occupied for hours, but also other facilities inside such as various restaurants and cafes to insure visitors don’t go hungry. Often the queuing for the rides was relatively small and virtually non-existent if compared to that of say Alton Park in the UK. The big drops, fast rides and multiple loops had definitely made me question whether or not China is the new scary roller coaster king.

Theme Park - Went on a weekday, not many people,. Did not need to queue for the rides. Some of the rides not suitable for small children. Food was so-so, theme park prices. But place was well-kept, clean.

Did not stay at the hotel as it was expensive, stayed in Ramada, which is next to the train station, took a train there. 20-25 mins Very easy and there is free shuttle from train station to theme park which takes about 5 mins.

Take 1 day leisurely as some of the rides we went twice. Bring rain coat and towel, there is some rides will get wet. Alternatively can buy from them. Check out the show times, "Happy Feet" 4D show is good.

We had a day to burn in Guangzhou. Our hotel room had a travel guide, so we found the Chimelong Paradise Resort with a theme park that looked like fun. Fun, yes - to a degree, a couple of rides to entertain adults, a water show that was in Chinese and hardly any english speaking staff... The Dive Coaster was a lot of fun, the best ride in the park. Our taxi fare from Guangzhou city was on a meter taxi, cost us $Y54 - however traveller beware, getting a taxi home is a difficult task, as the "TAXI" rank is like a ghost town, and no taxi to be seen - with punters out the front of the park quoting outrageous tourist prices to get you back from being stranded out of town. So we hiked up to the Resort Hotel to request a taxi, only to find that no meter taxis go out there to collect people, so we jumped in a taxi being frustrated and wanting to get the hell out of there, so forked out $Y120 - over twice the price on the fare there in the morning! Overall was a fun day, but make sure your armed with cash to get yourself out!!!!

Going around the park made me feel like it had some semblance of some disney some 6 flags some universal and a few others. Oh no, china at its best copying or patterning themselves to the west. But in fairness, the rides were great, without the the exorbitant prices we are now seeing in the u.s. theme parks. And since i stayed at chimelong hotel, they have this version of express pass which i got to use in 2 activities/shows which were disappointments as it was all in the local dialect. It would have been better if they offered some translation devices. Special mention is the lumberjack show. Give it a pass. Its blah. Their 4d show was not good. It was rough and painful. But the roller coaster rides were fantastic, as well as several non coaster rides. Dont forget to try the frisbee also.

What i hate the most is the typical chinese who dont know how to fall in line and this happened several times ( more like more than half the rides) so riders beware.

No drinking water stations around unlike disney and universal, forcing you to buy bottled water at 8rmb.

Lots of fun, lots of rides and roller coasters. However we didn't realise that over Halloween they have a special deal running meaning that at 3pm the park gets packed with locals. It is best to go early in the morning and try to leave before 3-4ish. Once it hits this time waiting for rides exceeds two hours but there is lots of shows on at this time and the park closes at 10pm. The park can easily be a full day experience. Additionally you have free entry into the water park next door with your ticket to the main park so might even be worth heading there at 3-4ish.

Unlike other international theme parks, Chimelong Paradise is almost like a hidden gem. Located far out in the Panyu district, I would have missed this attraction, if not because my 11 year old son keeps bugging me to bring him there. But I was quite surprised when we arrived there. The rides were world class and the shows are pretty fantastic, except the shows were only in mandarin.

There were rides for all ages. Adults like me and my wife, my 11 year old son and even my 4 year old daughter had a good time at the rides. There were plenty of restaurants and gift shops to shop from. Overall, I would say that this is a good place to bring your family to visit.

I was in in Guangzhou with a friend for 3 days so spent a whole day at Chimelong Paradise - it was definitely worth it! The big rides were amazing - the Dive Coaster and 10 Inversion Roller Coaster being my favourite! I went on a couple of times as there was almost no line up! We went on a Friday so I would imagine the place is busier on weekends. The food (even in the Hawaiian Themed restaurant) was not nice at all. I thought the Chinese food on offer might be better so I ordered some fried rice later in the day - fairly tasteless! Might be a better idea to bring your own food. The 3D Cinema was good for a laugh - a nice place to relax after a day of walking around the huge park. Great views on offer from the Dive Coaster!
