My current experience is great with many opportunities to learn about engineering and maritime life. However, the majors are very unique so transferring in and out of the school is difficult. Making a dedicated decision is most likely the best choice.
I came to Cal Maritime in 2021 with little knowledge of the campus itself, after my initial tour during my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college I found it to be a great match. I really like the small campus atmosphere that the school offered and the rigidity that the Corps of Cadets was able to offer.
Cal maritime is a school that if you know what you want to do they’ll help you achieve it. Furthermore, the training ship Golden Bear is an incredible vessel to learn and work on.
