Mexican Rock 'N Roll band formed in Mexico City in 1957. One of the front-runners of the first wave of Rock sung in Spanish where the translation to Spanish of current rock 'n roll songs was the norm.

Originally known as "Pepe y los Locos del Ritmo"; their first shot at fame came in 1958 when they came in 2nd place on the U.S. TV show "Original Amateur Hour" hosted by Ted Mack after winning 1st place in a contest organized by a Mexican TV station.

By the time they recorded their first record they shortened their name to Los Locos del Ritmo .

José del Río – Drums
Álvaro Gonzáles – Guitar
Mario Sanabria – Bass
Manuel José López Reyes "el Che" – Guitar

By the end of the 60's they changed their name to "Los Locos".

In the early 70's the band evolved into Mister Loco
