Seed Tapes

Planting your garden has never been easier

Seed tape was designed as a helpful garden tool when dealing with very small seeds, such as carrots. Small seeds are always more difficult to sow evenly and space appropriately. Seed tape does all that hard work for you.

Here’s how it works: The seeds are secured between two strips of tissue paper. All you have to do is cut the flower or vegetable seed tape to the appropriate length and lay it in place on the soil. Then, cover the seed tape with a light layer of soil and water it in. The tape will dissolve as the seeds germinate, leaving them perfectly spaced for that particular vegetable or flower. The flexibility makes seed tape perfect for a curved garden border. More creative gardeners can use the tape to create designs in the garden. You could even make a Knot Garden. It’s easy with seed tape.
