This is my first year at my high school, and I have been voted for class president. When I came into my school I knew that I wanted to make some kind of change. I enjoyed student council while it lasted. But my school is not perfect. I wish that some students will come to school and just do their work instead of being distractions and I wish that some teachers would encourage students to further their education instead of putting them down sometimes. I’ve made some good connections at my school and I hope that I leave a positive mark on everyone. I enjoyed the job shadows that we went on and I know I’m going to enjoy our upcoming senior trip. I want to give recognition to two of my teachers who helped me throughout the school year also, helping me apply for scholarships receive grants and apply for schools I know without them things could’ve been harder. I appreciate all of the faculty at my school and wish them nothing but the best. Lastly, I am ready to graduate and start a new life
Very helpful. Teachers and staff really care about students and give proper tools for success. The staff is very friendly and the teachers communicate with the parents on a weekly basis. There are several options for learning including online and in person. The lunch is free. There are electives and the school prides itself on credit recovery and alternative pathways to graduating. There is also also an adult program that allows people over the age of 22 to still qualify for a high school diploma. The school is safe for student and has security and safety screenings each morning as well as a monitored entrance with cameras and lock safety doors. Dayton Business technology High school also partners with several local colleges and Businesses to promote and educate students about becoming an entrepreneur or possible business owner. The school has a strict uniform policy. There are extra curricular activities such as chess club, Business club, Student Council, and Prom committee.
The food is disgusting, but we have snacks.
