What travelers are saying
- BraindamagedbaronNewark-on-Trent, UK468 contributionsIt's in Bury. It's a market.
If you like markets and you have no problem visiting Bury, this is the place for you. And it's a biggy! The award winning market is a huge place selling all manner of produce from dubious looking cheap tat to more pies than I've ever seen in my life.
Bury Market must be seen to be believed.

If I have one minor criticism, the lighting seems rather dim making some of the printed information difficult to read. On the other hand, it could be that my eyesight is poor!Written October 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JOHN CLondon, UK1 contributionAnother brilliant play and wonderful performances from all the girls. Be my baby was a very emotional and heartfelt story that also had some good old fashioned humour thrown in for good measure. Lovely little theatre and friendly staff.Written January 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- acs1984Cockermouth, UK1,649 contributionsWe had a walk up to the Peel Tower on New Year's day. It was open so we decided to have a climb to the top. It was £4 for 2 adults and 1 child. As you can imagine there was a lot of steps, but they weren't steep. Really good views from the top. It was very busy so it was a bit of a squeeze passing on the stairs and then at the top.Written February 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sean MManchester, UK3 contributionsGreat panto, great staff but the bar was seriously understaffed as usual.
The legroom in the seats is awful, very uncomfortable and no fun for anyone over 5ft 6.Written January 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We all had a great time and he loved being able to go on the buses, especially upstairs.
All the volunteers were friendly and helpful.
There were a good selection of vehicles of all types with something for everyone.
My only criticism is that there was nowhere to get a drink or snack (even a vending machine would have been welcome). However just across the road is Bolton Street Station part of the ELR where refreshments can be obtained.Written November 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I saw a heron which made my day. So many walk ways and easy parking . - stuandcharGloucester, UK14 contributionsAn amazing hidden gem in Manchester/Bury area. Incredible variety of food and drink and reasonably priced. We went on a Saturday and there was a guitarist playing lots of Manchester classics - loved it! - Roy4 contributionsKiss me like you mean it - fantastic production, acting, and script, delivered with pace and every emotion going! A play in two parts - best I have seen in 15 years of attending Summerseat Players. I can’t recommend enough. - Big_Jeff_LeoSt Helens, UK21,978 contributionsHoused in a magnificent building which opened in 1901; this is a free Council run museum. The highlight is the Wrigley Collection; an assemblage of more than two hundred oil paintings, watercolours, prints and ceramics, which includes works by J. M. W. Turner, John Constable, Edwin Landseer, and George Clausen. There is a feature on modern sculpture; not for everyone but if you are interested then you will probably like this.Written November 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
