Absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff were amazing: friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. They really went the extra mile to ensure that we had a fantastic evening. The food was simply delicious . Every dish had incredible depth and a veritable explosion of flavor with every bite. I can’t recommend Casa Mono highly enough.

We had an amazing meal at Casa Mono for our son’s 11th birthday. Bond marrow, fluke crudo, confit of goat, Burratta with pea pesto were all delicious!!!

I wished I loved it - but the food just wasn’t as stellar as expected. Service was excellent, however. Fairly pricey for some pretty standard tapas. $20 for pan con tomate? Pork belly was incredible. Just not enough to bring us back unfortunately.

We really love the food and wine and ambience at Casa Mono and we keep coming back! Really delicious, fresh and interesting flavors. Only downsides: dishes are very meat-heavy (awesome dishes but a little too much meat), and the prices are definitely quite high for dishes that are basically "appetizer-size" or a little bigger---for almost entree prices.

We had an exceptional time at Casa Mono. The food was great; service and assistance in wine pairing was warm and spot on. Even more importantly, for us, it was a really laid back and fun experience. We hope to return next time in NYC.

Very creative tapas, but it is difficult to enjoy a meal in such tight quarters when a waiter or busboy is coming by every few seconds to try to clear the table while you eat. We had an early reservation (5:15 PM) so it is not as if they had to turn the table around quickly. The check arrived, without our asking for it, while I was finishing my wine.

Really great restaurant. The interior is very cute and almost cozy/rustic. Food was excellent. Only complaint is that the food came way too fast. We ordered like 9 things and it was a group of 4 people and we were in and out in a little over an hour. They would bring 4-5 dishes at once which was a bit overwhelming. I’d come back for sure and just ask them to slow it down a bit

I’ve been coming for years to Casa Mono. While the food he maintained consistency, the price-to-value equation has materially deteriorated in two ways. First, there are fantastic tapas options available and post-Covid, the Spanish restaurant segment has new alternatives. Second, the dishes are very good but not great. I think folks are the Michelin star and feel the dishes are elevated—but to me, they are very good but not great.

Our server was great and the energy/vibe of the very small space is great. Appreciate the good selection of wines - but quite pricey. Not too many options for a group that may have more than one bottle. The food was alright - our highlight was the delicious bone marrow and the foie gras. Really great! Our bacalao croquettes were not as great as could be, nor was the octopus. The squid in ink was very good. So, in general - mixed feelings on the food, especially for some staples that one would expect would be perfect in a Spanish venue.

We absolutely loved every dish (too numerous to list so I assume everything is at the same high level). The service was friendly and was at the perfect level of attentiveness. The ambiance is casual and relaxed. We ate outside on a cool night and were quite comfortable. The wines were well served by the very knowledgeable sommelier. I can’t recommend Casa Mono enough and look forward to returning in the nearest future.

The staff didn’t let us get seated without our full party even though it was pouring rain and had us wait outside. They also denied giving my friend wifi when he asked.

Delicious food! Didn’t have a bad bite the whole meal. We had the burrata, black rice, skirt steak, duck breast, croqueta with prawns, shishito peppers and finished off with crema catalana. Each dish was balanced beautifully. There were 3 of us and the waiter recommended 6 to 9 dishes. We went with 6 and it was plenty for us although if some of us had been hungrier we probably would’ve needed 7 or 8. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Lovely evening!

Excellent food, ambiance reminding me of local spots in Barcelona. Our server recommended 6 courses to share amongst my husband and I. We ordered 5 and dessert. My husband isn't as adventurous when it comes to seafood or fish. So we ordered the burrata, patatas bravas, skirt steak, razor clams, prawns and risotto croquette. Highly recommend the skirt steak, so tender and atop an excellent romesco. I savored the razor clams, light buttery garlicky lemon. If we were to do again I'd skip the patatas and burrata and focus more on the other savories. We finished with a chocolate ganache was so rich creamy, cold and light. Perfect ending. Adding to our must visit stops in NYC in the future!
