Burlington Coat Factory has leased nearly 47,000 square feet at a former Toys R Us and Babies R Us location in Union, the largest among several newly announced deals by Jeffery Realty.
Brokers with the firm represented Urban Edge Properties in the transaction at West Branch Commons, which is located at 1701 Morris Ave. Burlington is taking 46,800 square feet at the shopping center.
Bill Farkas and Mike Testa of Jeffery Realty completed the assignment on behalf of ownership, while Cliff Simon of CNS Real Estate represented the tenant.
Farkas, a vice president with Jeffery, also represented Ace Hardware in leasing 15,082 square feet of an existing Raymour & Flanigan store at 1471 Route 1 South in North Brunswick. Stu Kramer of 1st Development also represented the tenant.
In Englishtown, Farkas represented Modell’s Sporting Goods in a 15,000-square-foot lease at Marlboro Plaza. Jerry Welkis of Welco Realty represented the owner, Basser Kaufman, in backfilling a former Annie Sez store.
The Jeffery Realty broker also helped backfill a former Annie Sez location in Clifton, where Old Navy is leasing 14,470 square feet from Gabrellian Associates. Michael Friedman of Inline Realty represented the retailer in the transaction at 700 Route 3.
