I had the displeasure of visiting this establishment with my partner and another couple. We arrived after our friends, and we were never given water glasses. Some of the dishes were not terrible, however, the service made up for that. One of us ordered a...Margarita, and given the salt on the rim of the glass she also asked for a straw. Our server was astounded by our friends absurd request and responded “A straw for a margarita?!” in an almost condescending tone. When we asked for him to cut the straw, to fit the margarita bottle, he was again astounded by our request, and provided us with a small chunk, which needed to be balanced within the glass to prevent it from swimming in the drink. When asked about the quality of the food, my partner complained about her Vietnamese Rolls, as the were tasteless and rubbery, much to the dismay of the waiter. He responded “Have you had these somewhere else? Because I haven’t, and I assumed this is how they ought to taste.”More

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday after seeing an advertisement for a Sunday event addressed to families with children so we thought we d combine family lunch with a kids’ workshop. They told us to be there for 13:00 as the workshop would start...at 14:00 so that we can enjoy eating beforehand. Up until 14:30 when we eventually decided to leave they never invited the children to the upstairs space. They advertise a service they never provided something we found unethical. The food was also mediocre definitely nothing like proper Thai food. All in all a very disappointing family outing. Would most definitely not recommend.More

Below average, in every aspect. The quality of the food is not good . Service is below average, they forgot to deliver 2 out of the 5 dishes we ordered, never asked if we like the food but did not forget to ask bout the...tip. It's a bar restaurant with amazing decoration and an amazing bar. All the areas are very nice and is 100% recommended. Very nice cocktails too,never tried the cousin.

Environment: Exotic look and feel. Music: Indifferent. Bar: Lack of positivity and inspiration. Food: Terrible value for money. Table service: Excellent. Having visited this kind of restaurants abroad and in SE Asia, I could say that my expectations were pretty high for this one. Just...having a good location doesn't mean that the restaurant will be a success by itself. Host-management: With no one welcoming you at the door, and having trouble figuring out how to seat yourself at the table, the interior decoration is the only thing relating to the exotic Thailand and Vietnam. Bar: Promoting well known cocktail recipes "under disguise", could use a major makeover and a more positive face lift. Food: The overall taste of the dishes we ordered was good, lacking alternatives for vegetarians and having to look through the dish for the main ingredients is not the right path to success(i.e. 2 shrimps in a noodle with shrimps dish is disappointing). Table service: The best attribute of this restaurant by far. The waiter was friendly, smiling and eager to explain and direct the customer to the best possible choices available. Music: As mentioned above, indifferent. Being owned by a musician and being promoted as a musical hot spot through social media, the restaurant lacks of serious music supervision(dj) and from time to time the themes of choice could not relate to the overall atmosphere at all.More

Nice decoration, nice cocktails!! The food is ok. We had a red curry with chicken which was very tasty, yet more creamy than I would like. The mango salad less spicy than expected and the bao ban nothing special.

We visited the Buba Bistrot on a busy Saturday night. On the plus side the surrounding and atmosphere was very nice and warm. The waiters were pleasant and helpful although I felt that sometimes they were pressing us to order more. Regarding the food, I...was not impressed by the tastes and the dishes very relatively small. In general I felt that the food was overpriced for what the quality and quantity they were offering. I would possibly give a slightly better rating if it weren't for the following incident: I asked to pay with a credit and the waiter kindly answered me that the POS terminal was charging and I would need to wait for another 10-20 minutes (or else pay cash). When I offered to go and pay at the place where the device was charging he gave me a lousy excuse that the point was inside the bar, kind of unreachable etc. Upon further insistence from my side he finally brought me the device with was almost fully charged!!!More

First of all, their Facebook, Google, Tripadvisor and any other online presence says Open but the reality they are only open at 7.30 and if you show up 10 minutes early they won't let you even rest at the bar. Customer service is great in...Greece but not in Buba it seems. Take a walk he said, and come back. Can't I have a rest or drink at the bar? Nope, take a walk. Well I walked somewhere else and had a lovely dinner thank you very much. No need to mention second.More

Few days ago I went to Buba restaurant. I like Thai food and I haven't tasted for a long time. The location, the environment and the service were perfect. The presentation of the food and the plates were better than an average Thai food, but...it was expensive (35E/person without bottle of wine). They suggested the plate of the day (duck with vegetables and curry) cost 23E and the price was not in the catalogue. On the other hand, the peking duck plate cost 16Euros. The dumplings with pork werenot good. I cannot suggest the restaurant part to others.More

Although we have frequently eaten at this restaurant and enjoyed the food the Xmas Eve dinner was absolutely terrible. I was dining with my daughter & grandson on this family festive occasion their soup was not edible due to the fact it had been drowned...in coconut milk so it was too sickly to eat. My starter arrived 30 mins later due to my allergy to crustaceans in the soup (this had been explained and agreed to one week prior to that) I was given dumplings instead which I had to send back. They were not only cold but they were glued to the basket and could not be removed. Instead of 3 different starters I was given 4 tiny pork balls which were served well before my daughter & grandsons starters which I ended up once more eating alone. The duck in the main course was delicious but that was the only edible part of the Xmas Eve menu as the dessert and the salad served earlier was also too sweet and sickly to eat. Chefs night off who knows. The bill was 265 Euros (€70 per head for Xmas Eve menu - drinks not included) Totally unprofessional since although we virtually sent everything back and complained we were not even offered any means of compensation. Unfortunately will not be going back to Buba’s again after this very disappointing experience.More

Buba is indeed the best place to be right now in Kifisia! The food is quite tasty where Thai, Vietnamese and Asian cuisine are combined in the best possible way. Also, interesting wine list. However, the service can be a bit slow and our waiter...was a bit “clumsy” lacking experience in customer service. Overall, a nice night out in a beautiful, exotic yard.More

First of all, the first rule of the good restaurant: "acknowledge your customer within 1 minute upon arrival" was not there. We were waiting 15!!!!! minutes before loosing it and demanding reserved in advance table and much needed drink. It was empty but for whatever...reason the personal was just walking around pretending we are not there. The menu is not big, which is a good sign usually, but with all classic dishes included. I was hungry and full of anticipation. The starters were extremely weak: duck rolls, dumplings and mango salad. Lacking in flavour, texture and right balance of acidity, freshness and saltiness. it was simply bland. For main we took Pekin duck (it was not even close to the original) and chicken and prawn curries. Again, bland mix of strange things. also no herbs, which give so much desired aroma and freshness to asian curries (had to ask separately) and not spicy at all. I am professional chef, trained among different countries in Thailand as well and know my thai food. The only reason i gave 2, not 1 star, our waitress was very charming and music was nice.More
