About
ASIATIQUE The Riverfront is an open-air mall that offers a dynamic combo of shopping, dining, sightseeing, and events—with scenic river views to boot. Here, you can pop into a large variety of shops selling clothes, souvenirs, bags, and more; sample authentic Thai cuisine at the night market; enjoy live music performances; and take a ride on the ferris wheel or carousel. You can even catch the Calypso cabaret and watch a Muay Thai fight. It’s best to get here via the free daily shuttle boat from Pier Sathorn as taxis and tuktuks (Thailand's three-wheeled open-air vehicles) encounter frequent traffic jams. – Tripadvisor

- Aung Red DevilYangon (Rangoon), Myanmar176 contributionsBeautifulI would definitely come back to Asiatique the Riverfront time and again. There's always something fun and new to check out. Simply enjoy a leisurely walk and you don't even need to buy anything. Grab a good meal for dinner, watch the sunset, go on a calmer ride at the Grand Carousel and call it a day. The asiatique sky is high 60m. The ticket is THB500. You will admire the beauty of Bangkok night around 10-15 mins. The easiest and most comfortable way to get there is by taking the free boat that leaves from the Saphan Taksin dock. From there it's just 10 minutes down the river, and the boat runs from 5 pm to 11:30 pm, every 15 minutes. Another option is to take a taxi or tuk tuk, but it would take longer.Visited May 2023Traveled with familyWritten May 6, 2023
- EricInSFLos Angeles, California233 contributionsWait to see if Asiatique rebounds before visitingAsiatique looks like it hasn't yet rebounded from COVID. About half of the stalls are vacant. Most of the restaurants are open, though, and we had quite a good meal. But besides eating, there's not much else to do now. I visited when it first opened and it was very exciting, but sanitized version of Bangkok.Visited March 2023Written May 6, 2023
- sandraSingapore, Singapore4 contributionsEnjoyable outdoor tourist attractionA very good tourist place for both locals and internationals, Love the outdoorsy vibe from the place. There’s this big open space for sitting not to mention the bean bags for us to rest after walking. Though there are many varieties of foods, souvenirs and stuff to buy. Some are quite expensive so I would recommend getting the product and price thoroughly. Overall really enjoyed it, Ferris wheel a bit expensive but if you have extra budget to spare I believe it will be worth the view.Visited April 2023Traveled with friendsWritten May 13, 2023
- Travel pandaIndia5 contributionsAwesome eveningOne must visit this place during early evening and enjoy the ferris wheel ride. However I feel the price is a little steep. A great place to buy souvenirs and there are many dining options. I suggest if you plan to visit asiatique then plan a visit to iconsiam mall the same day morning. Then you save your travel time and taxi fare. As taxi fares are quiet a spend as all of them refuse to go by meter.Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 9, 2023
- Dao1949Chiang Mai, Thailand1,578 contributionsUpscale Shopping Mall by the RiverWe arrived there by riverboat. It was quite modern and resembled a theme park. Lots of orchestrated music like you would hear at Universal Studios or Disneyland. But the shops were not so interesting for us. Lots of cheap tourist souvenirs and over priced. Most of the restaurants had menus that were also quite expensive for us. We ended up eating at a small restaurant booth that had Pad Thai and other less expensive foods.Visited April 2023Written July 2, 2023
- Anco MAberdeen, United Kingdom683 contributionsStrangeAsiatique is on the opposite side of the river of our hotel we took a ferry over to visit the night market. It has a bustling atmosphere in places and yet there is something missing. Difficult to describe but it is not that easy to structurally enjoy the shopping or dining options.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 4, 2023
- Back-in-the-saddleUnited Kingdom84 contributionsDisappointingFree boat from Sathorn Pier near the Saphan Taksin BTS. Heaving at night but dead during the day when at least 90% of it is closed. Would I visit here again? Only if I had to come here to get a boat for a river cruise. Most things for sale in the shops here are generally available elsewhere.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 25, 2023
- StorkRN1Roseville, California593 contributionsDon’t ride the Ferris wheel if it has been raining!Fun place to look around, shop for souvenirs, take a boat ride, eat and drink. There’s a huge Ferris wheel there, but it had just been raining. They don’t wipe off the windows after the rain, so you can’t get any photos without drops. I tried to suggest they wipe off the windows that face the river, but they didn’t even make eye contact. I was surprised since most people there seemed to be Instagram photo takers!Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 25, 2023
- India Travel ExpertMumbai, India18 contributionsOne time visit to AsiatiqueMust visit with family. Though the street style experience is created it still is like a mall. - Gillian SJohannesburg, South Africa30 contributionsThumbs up for a different type of night market experienceWe had limited time in Bangkok on this visit and I am so pleased that we managed to fit in a visit to Asiatique one night. My only disappointment - I would have liked more time there before it started closing but we only got there after 10pm. We enjoyed the different 'market' style shopping (pricing seemed fair), and went on the Ferris wheel for a view over the river and the night lights. There are restaurants, the haunted castle and different sections to explore / shop. I would definitely return on a future visit to Bangkok, for the different character the place evokes, especially if they have more projects / exhibitions (there had recently been a Disney one.)Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 29, 2023

We visited ASIATIQUE the day after it had re-opened, after being closed due to the covid situation & found it to be very quiet, with quite a few shops closed. I'm not sure if this will change in the coming Months, i imagine it may be quite some time, before things return to normal.
There are plenty of restaurants, ranging from the food court (which wasn't too badly priced) all the way up to much more expensive options. Also various clothes & accessories shops.
We decided to have a ride on the asiatique-sky ferris wheel, as they were offering a reopening discount of 50%. From 60M up, at the top of the wheel, you have decent views of the River & also the Sirimahannop, which is berthed here. This is a new addition to the Chao Phraya River & is a large 3 masted sailing ship & very impressive to look at.
Whilst we were there, there was a free Chang music festival/concert on, which we thoroughly enjoyed, even if the weather was horrendous with torrential rain.
Would be interesting to revisit, when things are back to normal & get a comparison to how it was when we visited.

This place is next to the Chao Phraya River. Has a very beautiful view Especially at night with beautiful lights, good weather, not too hot
Here there is a restaurant to sit and chill. There is an amusement park. Which I like very much Not really have a chance to travel like this Although traveling to this place Will be a little difficult But after receiving it, it is worth it.

Thailand may be undergoing a downturn in Chinese visitors, as well as many others, at the moment but it is certainly making places like Asiatique a lot more accessible. No more long snakes of tourists being dragged around by tour guides. Now, one can take ones time and look at individual shops and booths, take the time to barter with owners and get a table at a restaurant without a half hour wait. Every cloud, as they say, has a silver lining...

Extremely lively with heavy traffic flowing in and out, we were surprised by all of the shops we encountered. Naturally, I did leave Asiatique with gifts for loved ones as well as travel and cosmetic bags for myself. Restaurants plus inexpensive food stalls near the river, fellow travelers stated that their traditional and inexpensive meals purchased at stalls near the river the evening before, were unfortunately not open when they returned the next evening. We were lodging at the nearby Ramada Plaza, and walked from there with a group of fellow travelers. It was a fun evening out at a busy location with lots of neon lighting. Upbeat, clean, safe, stimulating. What we saw was more of a traditional mall shopping center.

Asiatique riverfront is a must go for shopping and fun evening. The place has lots of eateries, mini shopping stalls. The most attractive thing is Thailand's largest Ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel ride is for 1000THB per person and is for around 15-20 minutes. From the top, it gives a beautiful view of the lit riverfront and the Asiatique market below. There are live boxing matches going on as well. You should definitely try some of the ice creams they sell here at stalls.
Asiatique is a market develop for tourists in Thailand. Because it is for tourists the prices are little above what you can find in weekend markets. There is lot of street food available outside the Aisatique which is good to try. But it definitely deserves a visit.
You can reach here by cab or take tuk tuk ride from the nearest station.

The Asiatique is very touristy. Tourists were everywhere and you can find lots of souvenirs, food, drinks, and even massages.
Prices are expensive (we had a dinner at Fire & Dine and prices came up to be 1500 baht for 3 - inclusive of 2 beers) & portions are small.
Overall , good place to take some photos and to spend a couple of hours.

We found many variants of food, staring from street food until hi-end resto or cafe. The price is moderate expensive. You will pay 200-300 bath per item.
Don’t forget try crocodile meat, it was delicious and very temptation.
Try also Thai Beer, I love it!!

Bars, restaurants, shops, rides and shows all in the same place. Great place to spend some time. We took in the show at the Calypso Cabaret, had a few drinks next to the river and ate at a lovely little restaurant all for the right price. Lots of cheap taxis run from here too.

This trip was a bit disappointing because there was not much to do there except ride the big wheel, which was very expensive. The shopping in the market is overpriced and it is unbearably hot inside. Not much selection of food and ice cream vendors were open but were sold out on almost everything. A wasted trip

In fact, this is a modern night market that is neatly arranged according to the needs category. Starting from food, clothing, jewelry and various necessities are available here. It is similar to other Night Markets in Bangkok, the difference is that it is built more organized and modern. Prices here are more expensive than most night markets in Bangkok. Same thing but the price is a bit more because the rent is quite expensive. It is up to you to choose.

Hi, wanted to check if there are options to eat for vegetarians as well?
Archie Jain

The place is majorly sea-food-centric. There is a pizza place 'The pizza company' where we were able to find cheese only pizza. Otherwise, you can have lots of fruits and ice creams being sold there. Not many other options for vegetarians though.

I would suggest you take the BTS Sky Train (Asok is your nearest stop) and go to Saphin Taksim. Get off at Saphin Taksim and take the free boat shuttle to Asiatique from the pier. This will be much faster and economical, in my opinion. Otherwise meter taxi which might take longer because of traffic and probably more expensive.

I didn’t see any boats other than the Asiatique boat stop, plus night cruises. Most boats stop just under the station and you can change boats there.

Take the free Icon Siam boat to Saphan Taksin and transfer to the free boat to Asiatique from there. You will need to go to the right pier but it’s well signposted.
