Fan-favorite filmmaker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) directs the first movie he didn't write himself: Cop Out, starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) as mismatched cops. When a bust goes wrong, they get suspended, forcing Willis to sell a treasured baseball card in order to pay for his daughter's wedding. But while selling the card, it gets stolen, sending the pair on a wild chase featuring a parkour-loving housebreaker, a hot Latina trapped in the trunk of a Mercedes-Benz, a 10-year-old car thief, and a lot of other goofiness. It's hard to believe that Smith didn't have a hand in the writing, as the comedy has all of his loose, ramshackle habits (and his reliance on jokes about poop and male genitalia)--though much of it also has the feel of being improvised by Willis and Morgan. Cop Out wants to mock buddy-cop movies, but it also wants to be a buddy-cop movie; these conflicting impulses are never harmonized, so the whole movie feels out of tune. Zu Beginn einmal möchte ich mich auf meine Vorredner beziehen, nach deren Aussagen sei der Film eine "mittlere Enttäuschung". Dem kann ich absolut nicht zu stimmmen. Ich habe Tränen gelacht im Kino und auch die übrigen Zuschauer konnten sich kaum im Zauhm halten.
Natürlich ist dies kein Film für anspruchsvolle Filmfans.Man sollte nicht vergessen, dass es sich hier um eine Kömödie handelt und viele Menschen diesen Film wohmöglich mit den falschen Erwartungen gesehen haben.
Sicherlich lässt sich über den Geschmack der Gags diskutieren und aufgrund der tatsache, dass hier ein Gag auf den nächsten folgt, wie in einer Comey-Serie, ist es nicht zu vermeiden, dass nicht alle Gags die gewünschte Qualität bieten. Subjektiv betrachtet hat mich das nicht gestört und ich kann den Film nur weiterempfehlen.
Des Weiteren wurde stark die Darsteller-Zusammensetzung kritisiert. Diesem Aspekt kann ich auch nicht zustimmen, da für mich gerade diese Michung aus Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan und Seann William Scott sehr gut funktioniert hat. Besonders zu betonen sind die Leistungen von Tracy Morgan und Seann William Scott, welche ihre Rolle als sympatische Trottel voll erfüllen. Gekrönt wird dies durch die Ernsthaftigkeit von Bruce Willis, der versucht die Ordnung zu bewahren. Genau diese Gegensätzte machen den Film für mich so lustig, denn Gegensätze ziehen sich ja bekanntlich an.

Ich persönlich kann diesen Film jedem empfehlen, der einfach mal nur abschalten und lachen will. Also schalten Sie ihr Gehirn aus und lassen Sie sich auf die Lachsalve ein.
Wer letzteres nicht kann, für den ist der Film dermaßen ungeeignet, dass eine bewertung von 2 Sternen nachzuvollziehen ist.
