- CMJSingaporeDubai, United Arab Emirates349 contributionsJust off the traditional tourist trail. Great views of Brooklyn Bridge, East River and some lovely restaurants (and choices at Time Out) . Many great iconic views but the “tourists” have now found !Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - therichastillStevenage, UK2,900 contributionsBrooklyn Heights is a neighbourhood in Brooklyn and possibly the inspiration for a drag queen?
I visited by getting the subway to Brooklyn and walking down to the riverside. There are signposts and google maps helped me along the way too.
The area is very clean and tidy and there are plenty of places to sit and admire the views of Manhattan, Governor's Island and the Brooklyn Bridge.

- David BBrooklyn, NY1,483 contributionsCame For Mothers Day as this is one of my wife’s favorite place to visit. The weather was overcast with a few sprinkles here and there but cleared up as the day went on.
The gardens were very nice but if it were sunnier the flower and all that bloomed would’ve made a much nicer experience.
They have a new gift shop so of we got a few things for our apt and got my daughter a moss covered rock that had googly eyes on it.Written May 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Analia GStaten Island, NY411 contributionsLush, pristine landscape with fabulous views of NYC skyline. We took the trolley tour and our guide, Marge, was fantastic with stories to share and even a song or two. This is a great historic site filled with beauty and significance. It has free parking, and bathrooms at the entrance. The calendar is loaded with activities throughout the year. Wear walking shoes. The paths are great; and it’s huge so grab a map.Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Natalie199278 contributionsThis was a great museum for such a small price. I spent about one hour there total (I wasn’t interested in reading every single plaque but I do try and give attention to each part!). The best bit was when you take the stairs down to the old subway line and there’s a huge amount of old trains all decked out as they would have been and you can walk through and sit in each one. It felt like being on a movie it was so cool! Really good place to kill an hour or so and see a piece of the past.Written April 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ellen BBear, DE491 contributionsWe came specifically to see the exhibit Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. What an amazing collection. My only issue was that for the photography some of the lighting was placed in a way that it glared onto the picture, requiring you to look at it from an angle.
From that exhibit we went to explore the others floors. It has an array of objects, more than we could fully appreciate with the time we had. We’ll definitely plan a return visit.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had 4 beers to try during the tour all great and some of them exclusive to the tour. Deffo worth doing the tour.
After the tour we stayed in the tap room and got some dinner recommendations from one of the other bar staff members which turned out to be also really good. Can’t remember his name unfortunately but I do remember he was a Brazilian guy.Written April 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The houses were amazing and so many were decorated. So glad we went!
Personally I wouldn't waste money booking a tour. We saw lots of them walking around but we enjoyed doing it at our own pace without being rushed.Written December 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It focused on art and architecture and the way the area has changed. Good size group for the experience. - Houc Bou2 contributionsGood experience, excellent organisation of the event by friendly and welcoming volunteers. Multi confessional speech focusing on the love, faith and people well being. Sound level a little bit too loud but amazing choir and singer with very high quality. Available in streaming if you like to preview but on-site experience with all people attending is a must.Written February 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
