Lee Sang-Yi and Woo Do-Hwan starrer Bloodhounds is in production for a second season. As per reports, the popular Netflix K-drama is returning, with the lead actors of season 1 reprising their roles in the new season. Based on a webtoon written and illustrated by Jeong Chan, the storyline of the drama revolves around two young men, Gun Woo (Do-Hwan) and Woo Jin (Sang-Yi).

The narrative follows Gun Woo as he gets into the world of loan sharks to pay off his debt. But he finds out about a massive cobweb of other darker issues. In a certain turn of events, Woo Jin joins forces with Gun Woo to work their way out of the loan sharks. How these two men fight in these tangled situations forms the core narrative of the drama.

Woo Do-Hwan and Lee Sang-Yi’s Bloodhounds may be renewed

According to Sports Seoul, Netflix’s Bloodhounds has been confirmed for a second season. The filming will begin in the second half of this year. Furthermore, it was also reported that the lead actors are going to reprise their roles. They are expected to flaunt their bromance, like in season 1. Thus, viewers are quite excited to know what the next season of the popular action noir drama has in store.

The reports stirred up the internet, and a representative of Netflix responded to the news. They said that they are discussing it positively, but nothing is concrete for now. Bloodhounds Season 1 recorded 27.97 million viewing hours within 3 days of its premiere. It even achieved the 2nd rank in Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV category (non-English). Furthermore, later, the drama ranked first on the list.

Lee Sang-Yi and Woo Do-Hwan are both quite popular and competent actors in the South Korean entertainment industry. Also, in Bloodhounds, their onscreen bromance and chemistry in the action sequences garnered a lot of attention. Thus, the viewers loved their presence in the first season of the drama. Now, if the drama returns for a second season, it will be a treat for the viewers to watch these two actors together again.
